Reader’s note: Aphria is one of the suspected Cannabis LP whose CEO does not consume cannabis noted in a Bloomberg article.  There is something wrong when you have the CEO of a major Cannabis company who does not consume his products.  You buy top quality wine from the CEO who doesn’t drink wine?  There is something wrong with this picture.  Jack Herer is one of the classic sativas and if you want to change the name make it count by ensuring the strain is the best possible expression available.

We know all about branding and this is the time to Brand.  So, Solei Gather is an Aphria brand for Jack Herer.  Yea, well the way things should work is the Brand is so amazing that it becomes the strain’s benchmark.  For example, Broken Coast rendition of Northern Lights is call Galiano.  Galiano is the one of the best and strongest Northern Lights we have tried.  Trying to imagine Solei Gather as the benchmark for Jack Herer is really tough.

Softshell packaging is the destroyer of fine herbs.  It’s mass market low cost packaging reflecting the product as a commodity produces a very middle of the road product.  Readers should note the painful attention to the product sold from 7 Acres or Broken Coast, the craft growers.  They only sell you perfectly cured flowers with zero shakes.  The craft growers’ medicinal odor is overpowering and this corporate version is odorless.

We find it hard to stomach the idea that people would do things they don’t believe in for money.   They tend not to do a very good job.  In this case, it is not a bad job either.  There is a believe among Master Growers that natural sunlight produce the best cannabis.  We support the train of thought too.  Solei is a hybrid greenhouse product.
