Strain Integrity

As advertised “A tangerine lemongrass flavoured flower.”

Again as dry as they get, we could still smell the overwhelming citrusy with a hint of pepper odor.  The taste was unique and enjoyable.   It is not the smoothest like the LBS brands.

The high is noticeable after four or five inhalations.  There is euphoria, happiness and energy.  The clarity and focus could have been better for a Sativa.  There is a hint of haziness, which can contribute to a bit of couch lock.  After the first half hour, the haziness dissipates and some mental clarity returns and the couch lock disappears.   The intensity of the high drops in half within 45 minutes.

After an hour, the high becomes more indica effects with relaxed muscles and calmness.  The high last a bit less than two hours, which is disappointing.

Conclusion

Tangerine Dream by San Rafael

The taste and smell of Tangerine Dream is something special.  The high, however, was a disappointment.  While San Rafael delivered on the strain key expressions like euphoria and energy, it was not intense and did not last.   If the intensity and duration was a bit higher, this would be a real winner.

This is a difficult strain to find the an ideal situation for which the strain can shine.  The haziness and couch lock at the start rules out the first smoke of the day.  You will not get much done with a hazy mind.  The haziness clears as the effects wears after half an hour and replaced with a relaxed and calm sense of self.  Under what situation would this strain be perfect for?  We don’t know.
