Strain Integrity
According to Leafly, “Sensi Star by Paradise Seeds is a legendary indica strain that is renowned worldwide for its powerful full-body effects and subtle cerebral invigoration. Crystal trichomes sparkle like a constellation of stars against this indica’s dark green and purple coloration, reflecting a potency worthy of placement in the 1999, 2000, and 2005 High Times Cannabis Cups. Her stunning results at maturation have also won the hearts of growers who cultivate both indoor and out in either hydroponic or soil methods. ”
According to the OCS website, ” Acreage Pharm’s Sensi Star is an indica-dominant strain grown indoors in the Canadian Rockies. It has a very high THC potency, dark green and purple colouring, and is harvested weekly to ensure freshness for consumers. ”
Weekly harvest for freshness?
Trying a new LP Acreage Pharms
Acreage Pharms is Invictus MD Strategies Corp. whose six months share price have dropped from $0.68 to as low as $0.12. We are excited to try Invictus’s Sensi Star. Acreage ships their product in envelope package, which means the buds are squished. There is little fragrance, almost odorless, and dry, not bone dry but dry. THC was 14.6%, on the bottom end of the spectrum. At $15.35 a gram, pricing is on the high end of the spectrum. This is not a good start.
The taste was not harsh but it is not flavourful and smooth like 7 Acres. For 14.6%, the effects are there. There is less energy compared to 7 Acres or other versions we have tried. From our past experience, Sensi Star is a vibrant, focus, energetic with creativeness like a strong sativa high. These effects are all present with Acreage rendition.
At the end of the joint, final testing methodology, the effects are minimal with slight uplift and mental energy. From that point on, the effects comes on quickly. By the 10 minute mark, your mind is filled with creativeness and energy giving motivation to do things. By the 15 minute mark, time dilation coupled with intense cerebral stimulation will take you to Sensi Star land. There is little body effects.
Overall, the expected effects of Sensi Star unique Indica profile are present with this Acreage Pharms rendition. Mid range intensity reflects the lower THC content. At the one hour mark, the effects are noticeable less. And by the 1 hour 45 minute mark, you have landed softly with little weariness. The duration of the high is shorter again reflecting the lower THC content.
Activity pairing with this strain may include active physical activity, or creative endeavours, will be greatly enhanced. We like Sensi Star because it has such a strong sativa like effect making it a unique Indica. ( Another similar Indica with strong sativa effects is Ultra Sour. ) Unfortunately, the high pricing combined with a mediocre product means there are better alternatives for you dollar.
Conclusion
Sensi Star by Acreage Pharms
The prognosis on Invictus MD Strategies is bleak. We don’t just smoke to get high. We do this to figure out who the real players are based on their products. As a beaten down public company, we are excited to try your product. And, we are very disappointed. Are you guys too high? You are not vegetable farmers but your products are not much better than the vegetable farmers. What happen to your celebrity sponsor who says he doesn’t smoke pot?
Sensi Star by Acreage Pharms despite it’s low THC content delivers albeit a lower intensity on all the key effects. We can’t really complain like we did on Blue Dream by Canna Farms with almost no effects. At $15.35 a gram, it’s a bit less than Canna Farms $56.50 for 3.5 grams. There are much better products for a lot less.
THC: 14.60%
Quality: 6.0
Intensity: 6.5
Duration: 6.0
Total: 6.1
Cost: $15.35 a gram
All the worse products we have tried have the highest selling price like Royal High, Canna Farms and now Acreage Pharms. Your products will line the OCS shelves forever, or until you disappears. The prognosis on Invictus is bleak.
We want you, Invictus, to succeed because you are the wine maker who likes wine. You should be producing good wine. Why are you failing? You have done this before. Our only reason we can think off is you are too high all the time. We have seen this before – the celebratory mood is 24/7 and that does not translate well to substantive results. Or, the incredible wealth you thought you had put you into a celebratory mood and question why are you doing what you are doing with so much unrealized wealth on hand? You cannot focus because the stock is high and you are too happy or the stock is low and you are too depressed to work? Whatever is going on, the bottom line is bleak. Where is your head at now? Capital is no longer in great abundance, eh?
On an investment note despite our thrashing, we are intrigued by these valuations. But you are not the only one in this boat. We will keep our eyes open. To our readers, as of November 7th 2019, we are now bouncing on the bottom of the valuation range. We are now trolling for deep discount deals. Christmas has arrived :)
