Strain Integrity

According to Leafly, “ Kali Mist is known to deliver clear-headed, energetic effects that can verge on psychedelic at times. Despite having an unknown genetic history, Kali Mist is believed to have originated in the 1990s through crossing two sativa-dominant hybrids. This lightweight sativa is a perfect choice for consumers looking to maintain focus and productivity throughout their day.

According to Wikileaf, ” The strain is a powerful two-hit combo of unknown Sativa hybrids that delivers a blast of uplifting energy. Experienced users will likely find that it clears the mind. Some also report that Kali Mist stimulates thought and find it good for writing, yoga, and meditation.

This strain can be quite psychedelic at higher doses, but inexperienced users may feel this effect even at lower doses. The psychedelic property of the strain may lead to feelings of paranoia and anxiety….

From the OCS website, which is more informative than FIGR, “FIGR No. 28, also known as Kali Mist, is our sativa hybrid that exudes an earthy, woody aroma, with a citrus sweet undertone. Once it is milled the citrusy-sweetness comes to the forefront. Known as the ‘Queen of Sativas’, its minimal leaves allow light to permeate the branches and encourage high yields of dense, spicy-scented, trichrome-coated flower clusters with green with orange pistils.

Back to back FIGR reviews

If only you could see the “SMILE” on our faces, you will know how good this is.   There is nothing like a good flower … no concentrates have produced an experience like this.  FIGR’s Kali Mist hits all the Cannabis expressions in full technicolor.  Yep, this is a really good one right up there with the Whistler’s Sour Jack and Broken Coast’s Ruxton, which were psychedelic experiences with visual shimmers, perspective distortions and chromatic colour aberrations.  FIGR’s Kali Mist is also psychedelic.

The taste is smooth with a citrus spice flavour and burns longer than average increasing our inhalation session from 5 minutes to 9 minutes.  After the inhalation session ends, the problem begins.  Out test amount was 0.26 grams and we think this maybe too much.  Once the effect kicks in at the 15 minute mark, we begin spinning our wheels.

Kali Mist is one of our favourite strains to weaponize.  There’s clear focus with huge burst of creativity bubbles and a smooth energy flow to power us through any mental road blocks.  We recognized uplift, euphoria, creativity, happiness and energy in FIGR No. 28, aka Kali Mist.  All of those expressions were intense creating a full spectrum effect.  When concentrates say “Full Spectrum” to denote a superior extraction process, it is more wishful thinking than anything.  There is “No” full spectrum effect with concentrates.  FIGR’s Kali Mist is the real deal.

One hour into the session, we are finally gaining some traction on reality and getting a grip on life.  For the first 45 minutes, the Kali Mist took us on a magic carpet ride.  The second part of the “high” experience is where all the other LP’s “high” experience starts.

After the first 90 minutes, time dilation and short term memory disturbances disappear leaving behind an enjoyable state of cannabis bliss.   The lower but smooth energy delivery continues for the entire duration making this strain great for getting things done.  The remaining creative, focus, energy and euphoria effects while less intense is enough to provide a deep sense of satisfaction over three hours.

Activity pairing with Kali Mist can include physically or mentally challenging activities.  As an example, this strain would be good for competitive video gaming.   The danger is over-dosing and putting an end to any plans.

Conclusion

FIGR No. 28 (Kali Mist) by FIGR

Mesmerized by a fatal attraction, we continue with a back to back review of FIGR.   FIGR is emerging as one of the best LPs and FIGR No. 28 delivers.  For us, the category defining strains are Broken Coast’s Ruxton and Quadra, Whistler Medical’s Sour Jack and Grail’s Rockstar.  FIGR No. 28 defines what Kali Mist is as a strain.  People, welcome Mr. FIGR!

THC: 17.06%

Quality: 9.5

Intensity: 9.0

Duration: 8.8

Total: 9.1

Cost: $39.75 for 3.5 grams

On an investment note, we are seeing the emergence of what a successful business in Cannabis could look like.  Delivering the highest quality products in a tight well designed cohesive packaging, FIGR is defining a Brand that is understated with nuclear power.  Every strain is identified and housed in a solid colour container.

For now, the harm FIGR can inflict on their competitors is only at the high end because FIGR products are expensive.  LPs like 7 Acres (Supreme Cannabis), Altavie (Aurora), FLWR, and Cove (Cronos) selling in or above FIGR’s price range should be worried.
