According to the breeder, Relentless, ” For this cross the clone only Strawberry Cough was used for the mother and a couple of OG dominant males from my Fire OG bx2 line was used to pollinate. The strawberry cough dominants should be easy to point out as they will be much slower in veg growth and wont stretch but half their height. The OG dominants will stretch 2-3x their height when flowered. Aromas will vary from sweet, strawberry, fuel, funk, earth, and hash. ”
According to Leafly on Strawberry Cough, ” Known for its sweet smell of fresh strawberries and an expanding sensation that can make even the most seasoned consumer cough, Strawberry Cough is a potent strain with mysterious genetic origins. The skunky, berry flavors will capture your senses while the cerebral, uplifting effects provide an aura of euphoria that is sure to leave a smile on your face. Strawberry Cough is a great solution in times of elevated stress. ”
Information on Fire OG from Leafly, ” Bred by crossing OG Kush and SFV OG Kush, Fire OG has a strong scent similar to Lemon Pledge. Its euphoric effects are potent and long-lasting, making this strain a favorite among consumers with high tolerances. The plant has frost covered nuggets with red hairs, giving the appearance that it is on fire—which is, in part, where the name Fire OG came from. ”
From the OCS website, ” Strawberry Fire OG is a cross of Strawberry Cough and Fire OG with very strong potency potential and little-to-no CBD. This strain produces big, deep green buds tinged with strawberry-blonde hairs. Delicately preserved, crystal-coated buds offer a sweet, yet skunky aroma fueled by their OG lineage. Strawberry Fire OG hits the nose with a sour scent that mutes into a smooth, berry sweetness. This limonene- and myrcene-dominant strain packs a fresh flavour, candied sweetness and strawberry aftertaste. ”

The “high” starts quickly and the lift is very noticeable with physical mental sensation … the tingling of the brain. We are going to be in for a treat. Mental energy accelerates coupled with creativity as time dilation emerges all within the first ten minutes. By the 15 minute mark, the “high” is in full bloom as euphoric bliss with smooth energy flow ripples through creativity waves putting a smile on our faces. Yum. Strawberry fields forever ….
Strawberry Fire OG is more of a head high than a body high. For the first hour, there is a steady flow of energy not unlike a cup of strong coffee. The intensity is at an immersive scale with a longer than average duration close to 2.5 hours to 3 hours for us. After two hours, there is a decline in mental focus and some mental and light body fatigue emerges. It is a bit of a bumpy landing but the touch down leaves us feeling very satisfied.
Activity pairing is again everything. Strawberry Fire OG goes well with everything. It passes with flying colours on our shopping experience review. But, this is not table wine because it is expensive. Treat it more like Ice Wine, another great Canadian product.
Strawberry Fire OG by Gage
Strawberry Fire OG by Gage is an interesting strain whose name can conjure up an expectations of fireworks. Classic strain names are very helpful in helping us shape our expectations from new genetics. Strawberry Cough is a very uplifting sedative and creative strain. Fire OG with lemon scent is a high mental stimulant. We can imagine what the “high” may be based on knowing the parents. We think it’s a lot better than saying it’s limonene and myrcene blend? Or, it’s a “Bliss” strain? We like to say this Strawberry Fire OG delivered a very Strawberry “High.”
Total: 8.2 (Updated from 8.0 March 20, 2020)
Cost: $40.70 for 3.5 grams
Is this worth the $40? We can get “High” for cheaper. RIFF’s DT81 is cheaper and just as potent and stimulating. For those of us who can detect the difference, this is Ice Wine compared to table wine. Premium flowers deliver a Full Spectrum experience. Each experience is different in how the effects all come together. For those who can detect these differences, it is worth the price. Like Ice Wine, these flowers are to be consumed sparingly and used to commemorate special occasions.
On an investment note, we started the first year of legalisation with a view that there is extreme shortage. Going into the 2nd year of legalisation, we complained if there were only more retail stores everything would be fine. Clearly, we were wrong. Someone should tell Amazon they need retail stores to succeed. So, what is happening? What we are seeing is the good products sell out. There are no flowers from Good Supply or RIFF on the OCS store shelves because they sell out. Gage reviewed here is sold out. Hexo OSS.220, the cheap ounces for $140, is sold out. The legal market is healthy and vibrant for good products. And for those of you who are hurting in your investments, this is a time to double up on the good producers? There is a Market saying “Bear and Bulls will make money. Pigs will get slaughtered.” It means the Market reward those with convictions.
