Strain Integrity

According to Leafly, ” Bred by Cali Connection by crossing OG Kush and SFV OG Kush, Raskal OG smells of lemon and pine with a musty and grassy taste. With dense light and dark green colored buds, this sticky strain is soft when broken apart. Potent and euphoric, Raskal OG is a solid choice for any consumer looking to relax and lift their mood.

According to Wikileaf, ” The effects of this bud are not only powerful, but powerful enough that they’ve garnered quite a reputation amongst the cannabis community. The cerebral, sativa aspects of the high are known to bolster mood, and boost creative energies. Users often consume Raskal OG during the daytime, utilizing its boost in focus and attention to accomplish a day’s worth of to-do’s in a few short hours. Those who find that hybrids affect them in the same way that Indicas do will experience a more lazy, sedated body high after consuming Raskal OG.  ”

From the OCS website, ” Lift Lemon Riot, grown indoors in Alberta by Sundial, is a hybrid with very strong THC potency potential and a musky lemon flavour. Its buds are sage-coloured with yellow and orange pistils, and feature linalool in the terpene scent and flavour profile, which it shares with lavender and many flowers, mint and cinnamon.

Productivity booster

Lift Lemon Riot came in at 16.20% THC at a cost of $40.95 for 3.5 grams, which is at the high end of the market.  This is a strain you either like or don’t care for.  For some people, they may not even feel the high.  But. this is a sativa productivity strain at it’s best.

The “high” starts with a clear focus mind and it’s a head high with some physical tingling brain sensation.  Energy delivery is smooth and there is a sense of well being and brighter outlook on life.  We experienced a slight chromatic visual effect of a very light tinge of yellow making the world seem brighter and warmer … kinda like the glow hour time of photography but a lot less intense.   There is great creativity and time dilation and short term memory lock increases over the first 45 minutes.  Our shopping trip protocol review took a lot longer than expected.

It is easy to overlook all the effects because our mind was clear and we did not feel debilitated.   For us, this is the perfect productivity strain.  If there is a need to go through thousands of photographs to find the best photo for a web page design, this would be a perfect strain for that task.  The energy level is maintained through the first hour and coupled with a clear happy and focus mind we could do a lot.  This is a productivity strain at it’s best for us.

Activity pairing can include everything except as a pathway to deep slumber.   This strain is like a strong cup of coffee so anything that goes with coffee will go with Lemon Riot.

Conclusion

Lift Lemon Riot (Raskal OG) by Sundial

As fans of cannabis, we appreciate Sundial bringing to market an interesting strain in Raskal OG aka Lift Lemon Riot.  This is a unique and interesting strain that may not be for everyone.  The clarity of mind is the distinguishing feature of this strain, which may come across as I am not “high.”  While there are also the other redeeming expressions of cannabis like happiness, creative, euphoric and energy, they seem to feel less intense because of the clear mind.  Despite all of these attributes, we like Lift Lemon Riot by Sundial.

THC: 16.20%

Quality: 7.9

Intensity: 8.0

Duration: 7.9

Total: 7.9

Cost: $40.95 for 3.5 grams

Would we buy this strain again?  If we did, it would be for a very specific purpose and use when needed.  We have tried Sundial’s Lift Lemon Riot distillate and it is very similar to the flower except stronger.  The clear minded distinguishing feature in the flower is also a distinguishing feature of it’s distillate form.  We actually tried the distillate before the flower.  Good job on the distillate, Sundial!

On an investment note, Sundial is a public company.  The CEO left the Company at the end of January 2020.   Sundial is expected to release their Q4/2019 results on March 13, 2020.  Our gut feel is that it is not going to be good.  Other Cannabis news include Aurora joining Hexo in offering $5 a gram products and they are flying off the shelves.  This is a good segway to our next review Aurora Daily Special at 19.2% THC in house Sativa Melon OG.
