Strain Integrity
According to Leafly, ” Sensi Star by Paradise Seeds is a legendary indica strain that is renowned worldwide for its powerful full-body effects and subtle cerebral invigoration. Crystal trichomes sparkle like a constellation of stars against this indica’s dark green and purple coloration, reflecting a potency worthy of placement in the 1999, 2000, and 2005 High Times Cannabis Cups. Her stunning results at maturation have also won the hearts of growers who cultivate both indoor and out in either hydroponic or soil methods. ”
From Wikileaf, ” Sensi Star is an award winning Indica dominant hybrid that smells of a coniferous forest and a citrus lemon; which is similar to the taste of the strain. This strain has been called a “one-hit quitter” and is often recommended to patients with a high tolerance. Most feel high instantaneously with cerebral effects starting right after the first hit that lifts spirits and fills users with a sense of euphoria. Soon afterwards most feel a strong body high that relaxes muscles. These effects are often accompanied with a lazy haze that can make it hard to focus. Some also find the strain can make them feel very tired. Users should be wary of the common side effects; dry eyes and mouth, dizziness, paranoia and headaches. ”
From the OCS website, ” BC Sensi Star from Flowr is an indoor-grown indica-dominant strain from the Okanagan Valley, B.C., with a green-and-rust mossy appearance. Its terpene profile combines beta- and trans-caryophyllene, limonene and humulene to create a unique and pungent aroma and citrusy, earthy flavours that sometimes seem sweet. ”
Yes, exactly what we expect
We selected BC Sensi Star by FLOWR for review because of the recent price drop. THC was 14.1% and cost was $28.95 for 3.5 grams. Packaged August 8, 2019, the flowers were still fresh with a floral citrusy scent. Our test amount was 0.26 gram.
The “high” starts quickly with a cerebral ignition making the flow of thoughts become brighter as creativity powers up. By the ten minute mark, we enter a timeless world filled with bright colourful thoughts. Slowly over the first hour, bliss begins to emerge and we fade away. Yea mon, this is Sensi Star.
Sensi Star has one of the best sativa high to be experienced and it is an Indica. Blame it on the brilliant breeders to create a powerful Indica presence infused with large doses of creativity and uplift. The result is a vibrant wide awake creative state of mind that can outshine the best sativas. The only way we know there’s Indica is the calming bliss in the background. Sensi Star is one of our favourite strains.
Activity pairing goes well with physically demanding and mentally challenging situations as well as relaxing social environments. As a hybrid Indica, the ending can be heavy and tiring, which needs consideration in event planning. For us, we felt lethargic after two and a half hours.
Conclusion
BC Sensi Star by FLOWR
FLOWR products are some of the priciest products. BC Sensi Star is the first product to be reduced to a more reasonable price at $8.27 a gram. While we liked BC Sensi Star, Good Supply’s products all below $8 a gram and equal in effects. Our overall impression, however, for BC Sensi Star by FLOWR is worth a try.
THC: 14.1%
Quality: 8.0
Intensity: 8.0
Duration: 7.9
Total: 8.0
Cost: $28.95 for 3.5 grams
Would we buy this again? While Sensi Star was one of favourite strains, we would probably not buy it again because we prefer other strains? We now have Kali Mist, Sour Jack and Super Lemon Haze as productivity strains with powerful creative surges and strong energy flow all wrapped in an uplifting optimistic view. For Indica bliss, we like Wappa and other pure Indica strains like Quadra. The Market is now more competitive and FLOWR needs to re-calibrate their products and price points. This new pricing for BC Sensi Star is a move in the right direction … just saying.
On an investment note, depressed stock prices makes financing very painful for existing stakeholders. FLOWR last equity financing was August 8, 2019 at $4.10 a share for $43.5 million plus another $25 million in credit facilities in November 2019. As an example, if FLOWR was to do an equity financing at today’s $0.64 a share, it will still be very dilutive to shareholders who paid $4.10. Hexo is currently doing a very dilutive financing at $0.77 a share. For those who wants to invest, treasury issues like current Hexo’s financing is the real investing. When someone says they are investing in the cannabis stock market, they are really trading, or gambling. Buying stock from the Company is the real investing.
