Strain Integrity

Blue VNM is a cross between Blueberry and White Widow.

According to Leafly, ” Among the most famous strains worldwide is White Widow, a balanced hybrid first bred in the Netherlands by Green House Seeds. A cross between a Brazilian sativa landrace and a resin-heavy South Indian indica, White Widow has blessed every Dutch coffee shop menu since its birth in the 1990s. Its buds are white with crystal resin, warning you of the potent effects to come. A powerful burst of euphoria and energy breaks through immediately, stimulating both conversation and creativity. White Widow’s genetics have given rise to many other legends like White Russian, White Rhino, and Blue Widow. Still, many growers prefer cultivation of the original White Widow, which flowers in about 60 days indoors.

On Blueberry. ” A true A-List cannabis strain, Blueberry’s legendary status soared to new heights after claiming the High Times’ Cannabis Cup 2000 for Best Indica. The long history of the strain goes back to the late 1970s when American breeder DJ Short was working with a variety of exotic landrace strains. However, throughout the decades of Blueberry’s cultivation, the genetics have been passed around, due in large part to DJ Short working with multiple seed banks and breeders. The sweet flavors of fresh blueberries combine with relaxing effects to produce a long-lasting sense of euphoria. Many consumers utilize Blueberry to help contend with pain and stress, while connoisseurs and growers admire the strain for its colorful hues and high THC content.

Velvety smooth ….

Blue VNM by Mezzero packaged on March 4, 2020, with 13.82% THC cost $29.96 for 3.5 grams.  The buds were big and fluffy with almost no scent.  Our test amount was 0.26 grams.

The “high” starts lightly in the head with a light tingle.  At the ten minute mark, the usual energy flow and mental awakening emerges as the effects intensity increase rapidly.  For the first half hour, White Widow’s lineage expressions is in full force with a calm blissful energy with cerebral vigour.   After the first half hour, Blueberry emerges as we felt the heavier sedation on both body and mind.   Overall, the intensity is on the lower side but still noticeable and enjoyable.  Blue VNM, however, is strong enough to be noticed even after a long hard day of cannabis abuse.

Activity pairing is best for evening activities.  The “high” has very noticeable phases starting from a mild euphoric bliss with cerebral vigour transitioning quickly to a sedative state within half an hour means we should avoid demanding physical activities.  For us, the sedative effects were effective and we would use this for deep slumber end points.

Blue VNM by Mezzero

Mezzero’s Lemon Z took us by surprise and unfortunately our “expectations” may have got ahead of us for Blue VNM, which came with a Boveda pack.  Even though Blue VNM was enjoyable, we were less impressed.  We are “prisoners” of our expectations.  For Indica fans, Blue VNM is not expensive and worth a try just to expand your horizon, which is what we did.

THC:  13.82%

Quality: 7.6

Intensity: 7.6

Duration: 7.8

Total: 7.7

Cost: $29.96 for 3.5 grams

While Blue VMN was average on the “high” experience, the cost was better than average.  Would we buy this again?  Unfortunately, no.  Good Supply and Redecan have many stronger and cheaper alternatives.  Last week, Redecan dropped their already competitive prices across their product lines.  These were not inventory clearing but fresh products packaged a month ago.  The Heat is on!  And, we the consumers are the winners.

On an investment note, Hexo is tearing up the market with a 50% stock price pop over a few days and 6X! the daily trading volume.  Hexo sold out their OS.Hash10 on the OCS, which may mean good numbers coming.  Hexo was the first to bring volume discount to market.  It is always heartwarming and inspiring to see hard work paying off.  We are big fans of Hexo.
