Strain Integrity
From the OCS website, ” Pedro’s Sweet Sativa is a Canadian-bred cross of a Dominican Sativa with White Russian and an unknown Indica. The result is a Sativa-dominant hybrid that produces large, airy flowers with a unique terpene profile with notes of berry, citrus and sweet aromas. Pedro’s Sweet Sativa is of high THC content. Our product is grown locally in Strathroy, Ontario just West of the city of London. Grown in state of the art hybridized, greenhouses, our flowers and tops are dried naturally to preserve the integrity of our plants and hand finished to exact standards.”
White Russian, according to Leafly, “ Originally created by Dutch breeders Serious Seeds, White Russian is a cross of two legendary strains, White Widow and AK-47. An indica-dominant hybrid, it won the High Times Cannabis Cup “Best Overall” in 1996 and was for a time considered the strongest strain in the world. White Russian is an extremely fragrant plant, smelling of sweet fruit and skunk even in its vegetative cycle. With a flavor that is smooth and spicy with undertones of skunk and earth, White Russian’s high is quite cerebral, but can lead to couchlock when over-indulged. ”
Note: Interesting that two Indica dominant and one sativa creates Pedro’s Sweet Sativa, which is one sweet sativa.
A strain with a reputation
After almost a year, we are back reviewing WEEDMD with Pedro’s Sweet Sativa by Color Cannabis. Pedro’s Sweet Sativa is a much loved strain in the Reddit community. Our expectations are “high.” With 19.34% THC and a cost of $35.65 for 3.5 grams, Pedro’s Sweet Sativa greeted us with an exotic delicious citrusy scent hints of an extravaganza experience ahead wetting our appetite. Yum.
The “high” is an intense happy creative time bending experience. The taste is lightly flavourful. It starts out slowly lulling us before delivering a sledgehammer to our brains. Strong energy flowed as euphoria and creativity wrap around to isolate us from reality. We felt our grasp of time slipping and accelerating away from us. The first half hour vanished with the snap of our fingers. Pedro’s Sweet Sativa what did you do to us? We like it.
Pedro’s Sweet Sativa delivers an intense old school “high” experience. Our memories of vibrant sunshine and enjoying the company of good friends is what Pedro’s Sweet Sativa is to us. The “high” is a solid two hour experience. There is a little bit of lethargicness in the last hour reflecting a bit of the Indica lineage? Our bodies felt relaxed in the last hour and our minds became a little bit hazier.
Activity pairing would have to include social gatherings. Pedro’s Sweet Sativa shines in bringing out the best in us. Human interactions are enhanced with Pedro’s Sweet Sativa. Happiness is strongly expressed. On a more somber note, this is also a good strain to get some work done.
Conclusion
Pedro’s Sweet Sativa by Color Cannabis (WEEDMD)
Pedro’s Sweet Sativa is a ray of sunshine full of vibrant optimism to brighten up our World. Dancing on sunshine, we can glide through life with a smile on our face.
THC: 19.34%
Quality: 8.4
Intensity: 8.1
Duration: 8.0
Total: 8.2
Cost: $35.65 for 3.5 grams
It has not escape us how we use Pedro’s Sweet Sativa in almost every sentence. Would we buy this again? Absolutely, Yes. We like to see 7 grams or higher offerings. Vibrancy and radiating happiness are Pedro’s Sweet Sativa’s memorable qualities making this strain a favourite for sativa fans.
On an investment note, when it all started, WEEDMD was the low cost producer with excellent products. Now, WEEDMD we believe is the only one who raised prices relative to a year ago. WEEDMD Ghost Train Haze cost $28.60 and now it cost $35.65 for 3.5 grams. June 11, 2020 is WEEDMD’s 2019 year end results with 2020 guidance. Let’s see how Color Cannabis higher pricing strategy pans out. The competitors are just as good and cheaper.
Hello. Please revise your review of Pedros sweet sativa. I bought 3.5 gems recently based on your good review and the product has changed and not good at all (low thc and 0 CBD). . Thank you. Dewayne LeRoi
Thank you, Duane, for the update.
Your negative experience as a result of our review is our greatest fear come true. We are very cognizant of the potential negative feedback loop created by “expectations” from the reviews. We believe “Expectations” are the destroyer of our Life’s experiences.
We have an individual here who have visited Amsterdam many times and was never impressed. The whole time all this individual from BC said in Amsterdam was “I am not really that “high.”” On one such trip, this individual was later in Germany when he found a chunk of black hash in the back pocket of his blue jean. After overcoming the immediate horror of accidentally smuggling hashish across the border, the chunk of terrible black hash turned into a spliff. The next thing, this individual found himself pinned to the bed unable to get up and the room was spinning. This was the best “high” and that chunk of black hash was the worse thing bought in Amsterdam shoved into the back pocket and forgotten. And, it turned out to be the most potent smoke consumed from Amsterdam. It was all about expectations and it ruined the Amsterdam trips.
Sorry to hear your negative experience with Pedro. Thank you for the trust you placed with us. And, yea, quality of cannabis can change and the batch maybe substandard.
Thank you for the feedback.
Thank you for your response. My disappointment was the result of high expectations for sure. A couple of bud tenders had already recommended Pedro’s. I decided to try this strain when my local retail store put it on sale. My disappointment was likely also fuelled by the fact I had picked up another strain on sale prior to the Pedro’s – a deliciously sweet tasty strain from Broken Coast which I had enjoyed immensely. Fortunately, thanks to your reviews, I have discovered decent strains within my budget by Good Supply!!
Hi DeWayne! Comparing anything after Broken Coast is a tough act to follow. We actually have a Pedro Cart in the review pipeline because we do like the “high” from Pedro. Post Covid-19, you might want to try Pedro with a few close friends on a nice summer day and see where the conversations and ambiance takes you. Pedro conjours up those memorable moments from our past just chilling with good friends and good vibes on a sunny afternoon. It be interesting to see how close the Pedro concentrate version is to the real deal. Yea, Good Supply have many decent strains at attractive price points. Enjoy DeWayne!
