Another price drop review

Lagoon aka Blueberry by Hexo is a classic dreamy rejuvenating Indica.  A 29% price drop to $18.96 for 3.5 grams, Lagoon had 17.11% THC packaged on August 12, 2019, the flowers were a bit dry have very faint hints of floral scent.

The “high” is a dreamy and relaxed world where all our stress melts away.  After inhalation, we could feel a lighter sense of self and a happier disposition.  The lifting energy effect starting in the head and upper body slowly strengthens as time dilation sets us drifting into a classic Blueberry world.   Our heart beat feels slower as euphoria wraps around us like a healing blanket.  For the first half hour, we gently bump along the path towards increasing blissfulness.

While all the Blueberry effects are here, they were not very intense.  Dissatisfied, we amped up the volume to 0.36 grams from 0.26 grams the next day and it worked.  Lagoon scales very nicely as the effects were more intense and enjoyable.  In our 2nd session with 0.36 grams, our inhalation session took over 10 minutes and by the end of the session we were “Baked.”  The higher intensity produced a more wakeful and more mind numbing sweetness aka euphoria.

Activity pairing favours relaxing social encounters or self-reflecting rejuvenation moments.  Lagoon scales nicely and at higher doses we get a strong awakening energy, which lends itself well to evening activities like dancing?  Unencumbered with intense self-introspect that comes with creative cerebral fireworks typical of Sativas,  Indicas puts us into a relax and carefree cerebral space with euphoria and happiness to Dance away the stress.

Lagoon aka Blueberry is on a 29% price drop and at a price equivalency of $151 an ounce is a good deal.  While our first impression was underwhelming, our second attempt delivered what we would expect from a Blueberry strain, a powerful happy relaxing blissful experience.

Would we buy this again?  Yes, this is a great budget strain.  The prices of legal Cannabis is now cheaper than grey market equivalence.   We have reviewed several Hexo discounted products and all of them are competitive on pricing and effects.  When we see prices below $20 for 3.5 grams delivering effects like UP’s Edo, a Hexo brand, there are no equivalent products in the grey market at these prices.  And, legal cannabis is safer because it’s tested.  Legal cannabis is finally meeting consumer needs.

On an investment note, in addition to selling the UP facilities for $10.25 million, Hexo is in the midst of raising another $34.5 million At-The-Market (ATM) offering resulting in a downdraft in their stock price.  While revenues growth is strong, Hexo is still losing money.  As a consequence, Hexo is extremely aggressive in rightsizing their balance sheet, which is excellent.
