Strain Integrity
From the OCS website, ” Calm Wild Indigo is an indica-dominant, high-THC hybrid of Blackberry Kush with Voodoo Child lineage. Calm Wild Indigo is an indica-hybrid with densely packed, crystal-coated buds and a berry smell. It’s grown indoors by Calgary’s Sundial Growers, and its dominant terpenes include trans-ocimene, caryophyllene, humulene and limonene. ”
According to Leafly, ” Blackberry Kush is a indica-dominant strain often recommended for pain management thanks to its strong body high effects. This strain is a combination of Afghani and Blackberry and is marked by dense and beautiful nugs of purple and orange. Blackberry Kush has a hashy, jet fuel taste and aroma that is balanced by sweet berries. ”
And from AllBud, ” Voodoo Child is a rare indica dominant hybrid strain created through crossing the infamous Voodoo X Blueberry X BC Big Bud strains. ”
Note: We are particularly excited about the Voodoo lineage bred from a Thai landrace.

A 19% price drop to $32.94 for 3.5 grams, Calm Wild Indigo by Sundial came with 17.9% THC packaged on January 13, 2020. With an Integra Boost, the flowers were exotically fresh citrusy with hints of pepper.
The “high’ is another fast effect beginning immediately and by the end of the inhalation session we were well on our way into an enhanced reality. Clearing mind with increasing focus and energy signal the journey has begun. Cerebral creativity grows in intensity over the first 15 minutes eventually rooting us with torrential cerebral fireworks. We barely made it down to the recording room.
Euphoria slowly increase as body relaxation comes into full effect around the half hour mark producing a dreamy calm euphoric state. While we are not losing our grip on reality, the intensity from 0.26 grams is strong enough to produce a forceful all encompassing effect, which means we are fully wrapped in its effects. It does wet our appetite to pump up the volume.
The next day, we executed on our great idea and amped up the volume to 0.37 gram. Even before we finished our inhalation session, we were inebriated. The lights are on but we are not home. The clarity of mind is one of the distinguishing feature of the “high” for us, which made Wild Indigo’s strong cerebral effects combined with heavy euphoric bliss and strong time dilations even more enjoyable.
Activity pairing can include a broad range of day and evening situations. Wild Indigo starts with a vibrant euphoric energy and clear mind, which works for almost everything. We believe this strain can shine in both social situations and also self-meditative environments. We consider this a healing strain more than a strain to be weaponized for production.
Conclusion
Calm Wild Indigo by Sundial
We are fans of Sundial. Calm Wild Indigo by Sundial was very enjoyable and different. As an indica-dominant, Wild Indigo’s “high” is unique as it started with a very clear focus state transitioning to a euphoric intense dreamy state with a clear refreshing focus. The sativa’s lineage expression is strong in this one as indicated by the citrusy scent. Today’s new generation of Indica’s are more prolific in their effects compared to landrace strains like Hindu Kush. We recommend trying Calm Wild Indigo by Sundial.
