Mystery Hybrid

Hybrid by Grasslands (Sundial) is as utilitarian as it comes for a name and a brand.  This is a low cost bulk volume product from Sundial, a top tier License Producer (LP).   Packaged on June 15, 2020, a month ago, 7 grams cost $53.96 with 17.7% THC and a bit of exotic fruity fragrance.   Being fans of Sundial, we are so excited to review this.

The “high” starts with a clear mind and an upper body euphoric effect.  This is one of those strains where we can feel the slowly increasing strength of the effects.  Over the first ten minutes, a growing energy and increasing mental euphoria with a haze giving us a sense of slippy slidey feel.   Ever get the sense of movement while standing still?  We are getting it with this strain.

In 15 minutes, we hit full stride with this Hybrid strain from Grasslands.  There is an overflowing sense of joy!  Time dilation disorientation and cerebral refreshments are deliciously distracting.  Clearly, this strain is very creative and blissful too.  We can feel the Indica body “high.”  Is this Calm Strawberry Twist aka Strawberry Banana?  Whatever it is, it is delicious.  One hour goes by quickly.  While the intensity has subsided, the decline was barely noticeable.  Our test amount was 0.26 grams.

Activity pairing can include a broad range of both daytime and evening events.  With ample energy and an abundance of goodwill, this strain can light up social situations creating a good time for all.  As a hybrid with Indica roots, we can also use this for self-rejuvenation.

Conclusion

Hybrid by Grasslands (Sundial)

We came into this review with “high” expectations.  Incredibly, we were not disappointed.  Hybrid by Grasslands delivers an impressive and enjoyable experience.  While this is a budget priced product from Sundial, it is around $200 an ounce compared to others at $140 an ounce.  But, we think it is worth the price and worth a try.

Would we buy this again?  Yes.  Available only in 7 and 15 grams options, we would buy the larger 15 grams for $94.95, or $6.33 a gram.  Larger volume offering are also increasing with 15 and 28 grams options signaling a maturing and more competitive legal cannabis market.  The shift from grey market to legal market is happening.  And, Hybrid from Grasslands is a competitive product in any market.

On an investment note, this is “Showtime” for Sundial.  With the debt restructuring done and the decks are cleared for takeoff to profitability, Sundial is launching their discount brand, Grasslands.  And, we like it!  With Grasslands on the bottom end, Sundial on the mid end and Top Leaf on the premium end, Sundial is executing on their product portfolio and delivering the goods.  We are cheering for you, Sundial.
