Strain Integrity

According to, ” Critique is a rare evenly balanced hybrid strain (50% indica/50% sativa) with unknown parentage due to a general lack of information about its background. However, it is thought to descend from OG Kush and another well-balanced hybrid strain. The Critique high is definitely one for the ages, with classic effects that hit both mind and body with a high potency level thanks to its 22-25% average THC level. You’ll feel an influx of creative euphoria at the onset of the high that quickly turns to a deep-felt sense of relaxation. Your body will begin to follow your mental state, leaving you totally couch-locked and at ease, but incredibly happy about it. With these effects and its super high THC level, Critique is said to be perfect for treating a variety of conditions, including chronic pain, depression, chronic stress, arthritis, and muscle spasms or cramps. This bud has a sweet lemony pine flavor with a rich spicy herbal exhale. The aroma is very earthy and skunky with a lemony pine overtone that turns spicy and herbal as the nugs are broken apart and burned. Critique buds have fluffy grape-shaped bright neon green nugs with vibrant orange hairs and a coating of golden amber crystal trichomes.

From the OCS website, ” CTRQ is a sativa-dominant hybrid from Re-Up, with citrus and floral aromas that will remind you of a crisp glass of lemonade.

Note: We are finding to be more current on newer genetics compared to Leafly, which was acquired by Privateer and now reside inside a Canadian LP, Tilray.  Poor Leafly.

Best bulk sativa?

Re-Up is a new bulk cannabis brand from Zenabis.  CTRQ aka Citrique by Re-Up packaged on June 30, 2020, cost $67.95 for 15 grams, or $119.95 for 28 grams, making this the cheapest legal “weed” we have bought.  This is a “BIG” deal price.  With 15.0% THC, this fresh Citrique smelled very lemony.  This is the nicest smelling and looking cheap weed we have ever bought.  It is crazy to see prices like this for this incredibly visually attractive cannabis flower.  Here we go.

Wooohooo! What does a $120 an ounce cannabis land look like?  Five minutes after inhalation, we are feeling it.  The “high” is a light efervescent floaty feel with an uplifting spirit.  The inhalation was smooth and tasty.  There is a growing sense of euphoria and happiness as the intensity increases over the first ten minutes.  We recommend pairing with a cup of coffee, or tea, for maximum effects.  Cerebral ignition kicks in between the 10 to 15 minute mark.  OMG!  This is turning out to be a very nice buzz as we head towards the 15 minute mark.  Damn, we have time dilation too.  We are suitably impressed for a $120 an ounce weed. WTF?

Between the 20 to 30 minute mark, the “high” continues to evolve in intensity becoming more encompassing.  At its peak, the “high” is at an “enjoy” intensity fully functional at all times.  This is a medium intensity full spectrum Sativa effect “high.”  The cost versus effect is off the chart for Re-Up’s CTRQ.  We are truly impressed.

Activity pairing for this Sativa is best for productivity.  CTRQ delivers wakeful energy with creative vibrancy, which goes well with anything.

CTRQ (Citrique) by Re-Up (Zenabis)

Hands down CTRQ by Re-Up is the most impressive cheap “Weed” we have ever bought.  This is a reflection of the competitive intensity in Canada’s legal cannabis market ratcheting Up!  Fans of Cannabis are the biggest winners.  Are we gassing this enuff?

THC:  15.0%

Quality: 8.0

Intensity: 7.6

Duration: 7.9

Total:  7.8

Cost:  $67.95 for 15 grams

Would we buy this again?  Yes.  While this is not a Broken Coast’s Denman  “high” experience, this is a complete two hour refreshing energy creative boost for a $120 an ounce.  We don’t usually buy below $150 an ounce because we believe that is “Bush” weed territory.  Sorry, we are wrong.

On an investment note, Zenabis have just fired a shot across the bows of all the low cost producers by delivering one of the best low priced cannabis.  The next quarter for Zenabis is going to be very positively interesting with this Re-Up launch and price reduction across a broader Namaste product offering.
