Strain Integrity
According to Leafly, ” Pineapple Express combines the potent and flavorful forces of parent strains Trainwreck and Hawaiian. The smell is likened to fresh apple and mango, with a taste of pineapple, pine, and cedar. This hard-hitting hybrid provides a long-lasting energetic buzz perfect for productive afternoons and creative escapes. ”
From the OCS website, ” The distillate in this 0.5 g cartridge from Good Supply comes from a hybrid extract. This product’s smooth, tropical flavour comes from a terpene profile that contains limonene, which is also found in citrus fruits and juniper; myrcene, present in mangoes, lemon grass, hops and thyme; humulene, which it shares with hops and coriander; and linalool, found in lavender and many flowers, mint and cinnamon. This cartridge should be stored upright in a dark, room-temperature environment. This cartridge requires a 510 thread vape battery for use. Good Supply produced by Aphria, from Leamington, Ont., which grows all of its cannabis in state-of-the-art greenhouses and controls quality with a 509-step process. ”
Pineapple Express anyone?
Pineapple Express is hands down one of our favourite go-to “wake and bake” strain in the pre-legalisation era. With the absence of Pineapple Express flowers in the Canadian legal market, it was only a matter of time before we reach out for the distillate version.
The “high” naturally is a fast acting effect because of the 81.72% THC. Literally after the first inhalation, the effects can be felt. Test amount was 3 x two seconds draw. Cerebralness and euphoria are the two most distinct effects noticeable and within 5 minutes we were no longer on Planet Earth. There is a disturbance in the fabric of time and it is all around us. The key expressions of Pineapple Express are here. We, however, are just missing the surging waves of euphoria and big bubbles of creativity we did enjoy with the analog version, the Pineapple Express flower.
After a strong lift off, the Pineapple Express distillate “high” continues to evolve in intensity over the first 20 minutes. Strong energy with cerebral simulations coupled with intense time dilation and memory chaos created a very pleasant experience for us. It is truly a Pineapple Express “high” … a distillate version … not the flowing analog version. But, we are enjoying this Pineapple Express distillate version.
Hrm … has anyone noticed that distillate “high” do not last very long? By the hour mark, our “high” is down below 50% of the peak intensity. Maybe it is because we only took 3 hits. Whatever the reason, we are noticing a great drop to normality. Wha wha … what’s going on?
Activity pairing is best for productivity. The clean cerebral and energy boost is great for getting things done.

On an investment note, disitalle for vaping is a growing cannabis product category hitting $5 million in March 2020. The OCS Full Year in Review is available here. For an LP, making distillate concentrates is the best way to salvage an unsaleable flower inventory. As LPs flood the market with distillate cartridges, the prices will drop and further stimulate demand, which would be a favourable trend for cannabis investing.
