Note:  It is interesting to note that Hell’s Angel OG lineage was left out in the OCS description.

Another hydroponic beauty

JD OG by Gage Cannabis packaged on July 20, 2020, less than a month before our purchase, cost $40.70 for 3.5 grams with 19.78% THC and a strong piney floral exoticness to the scent.  We believe Gage Cannabis produce the best hydroponically grown cannabis in Canada.  Our test amount was 0.26 grams.

The “high” starts slowly building from inhalation with growing euphoria and a clarity of mind.  We could feel San Fernando Valley sunlight beaming on us.  What a great day to be alive.  The first ten minutes delivered us to a strong euphoric lift with a dizzying clarity and blissfulness.  The energy flow was a forceful body sedation.  At the 15 minute mark, we hop on the Magic Carpet fully immersed in blissfulness with dreamy musing and time slowed down.  The combination of strong body sedation and energy with a vibrant mind is Josh D OG.  This is a cool suave Indica “high.”  Hey Jean Guy!  You got some competition here with Josh D OG.

A good pure sativa gives us intense electrifying energy creating electrical neurons lighting storms while a good pure Indica will sedate us with crushing blissfulness dulling our minds and calming our nerves.  This JD OG hybrid Indica gives us strong energy encapsulated in blissfulness sprinkled with dreamy thoughts.  Yum.  The “high” last a solid two hours with another hour of relaxing after effects.

Activity pairing for this hybrid Indica can accommodate both social and private moments.   The vibrant outlook and sunny dispositions from JD OG pairs well with social interactions.  We believe this really shine in refreshing and rejuvenating ourselves type of activities like doing some gardening, meditating with music or just watching the sunset.

Would we buy this again?  Gage Cannabis is an approved personal cannabis supplier for ourselves.   Yes, Gage is at the higher end of cannabis pricing but well under the $12 per gram range denoting a premium product.  For us, consuming cannabis priced above $15 no matter how good always leave a bitter aftertaste.

On an investment note, Gage Cannabis and TerrAscend are two LPs that are making waves in the cannabis community and market.   Both are cannabis investee companies in Canopy Rivers venture capital portfolio.   Apple’s venture capital was rumoured to be far more successful than the industry venture capital heavyweights like the Kleiner Perkins of the World.  Canopy’s venture capital initiative Canopy Rivers is just like Apple’s private investment initiatives.  This is a good news story on how things can go well in the cannabis industry.
