Strain Integrity

From Simply Bare Organic, ” This Sour Cookies is a FVOPA Organic Certified sativa-dominant, high potency cultivar derived from the well-loved Girl Scout Cookies and Sour Diesel lineages. With beautiful bright purple leaves and glistening with crystal trichomes, her doughy yet sugary aroma is both sweet and sour. Grown in Living Soil. Hang Dried for 14 days. According to Leafly, ” Sour Cookies is a blend of Girl Scout Cookies and Sour Diesel. This cross combines the medical-grade sedation of GSC with the uplifted, cerebral, mood enhancing effects of Sour Diesel. The smell is doughy and pungent with overtones of fuel and hash. With consistent use, this strain envelops the consumer in a weighted couch-lock that can persist for over an hour.  ”

Note:  Girl Scout Cookies and Sour Diesel are two of our all time favorite strains.  We are salivating uncontrollably.

“Living Soil” goodness

BC Organic Sour CKS aka Orange CKS by Simply Bare Organic is another “living soil” craft grown cultivar.  Packaged on July 22, 2020, this fresh exotically sweet scented Orange CKS cost $46.95 for 3.5 grams with 21.99% THC.  It actually smells similar to the BC Organic Blue Dream both with strong sweet vanilla scent just like candy.

The “high” effects starts immediately with the first inhalation.  With each draw, we could feel the buildup.  The draw was smooth but the taste was not as flavourful as the Blue Dream.  “Euphoric Elevation” is the first prime expression with a topping of raciness.   But, the energy has a smooth velvety delivery to power any  physically demanding tasks … we could go for a run, or a very long walk.  Happiness is another noticeable expression.  We enter the 15 minute mark fully immersed in a vibrant uplifting joyful creative world with an understated intensity.  The smooth creamy energy is what really stands out for us.  The intensity continues to grow as we approach the half hour mark.  We have lost all sense of time ….

In our humble opinion, living soil creates some of the best cannabis products.  There are only a handful of living soil growers and they are WMMC and their offsprings  TGOD and Simply Bare Organic.  The bud structure of cultivars produced by these growers are very similar in the same dense and dark green structure.  The “high” is always full spectrum feeling cleaner and more refreshing.  And, they are all very expensive.

The 21.99% THC meant as we approach the hour mark there was no significant degradation in the “high” intensity.  At the hour mark, we were higher than the peak “high” of the value brands.  There’s a bit more body relaxation effect past the first hour.

Activity pairing for this BC Organic Sour CKS are best for daytime activities given the strong smooth energy delivered.  The “high” we experience while shopping was a functional clear focus creative and euphoric with a topping of optimism.

On an investment note, despite improvements on increasing legal cannabis market share, the general investment market health is poor.  2020 has been an extraordinary year of economic conditions resulting in trillions of stimulus dollars printed.  At a most fundamental level, do we understand what happens when we print a lot of money and give it out for free?  It is interesting to note that picking stocks is not where you make the real money.  Asset allocation is where the big differentiated returns are made … which market sector are you in?  Famous Warren Buffet is in “Gold” for the first time in his investing career.  Investors  should pay attention.
