Strain Integrity
From the OCS website, “ Like a photograph from the 70s, this hand-crafted hash harks back to a gentler, mellower time. This simple, extract is pure dry-sift from highest-quality, indoor-grown flower. Like playing vinyl or writing a letter, hash takes a little extra time to prepare, but the end result is all the sweeter. Think of this Traditional Pressed Hashish as an analogue filter on a digital world.”
The World of Assassins
Traditional pressed hashish by 48North looks like blonde Moroccan hash from the good old days. Packaged July 7, 2020, this traditional pressed hash cost $28.95 for 1 gram with 45.6% THC and a scent reminiscing of Moroccan hash. Our method of consumption was 0.10 gram through a pipe.
The “high” is immediate. While the inhalation session took about ten minutes, we were already “high” five minutes into the session. By the end of the session, it was a race against time to get the recording done. This hashish is very intense with strong body sensations and mind melting intensity.
Hashish is the natural equivalent to distillate THC concentrates. Hashish has a beautiful analog “high” where there’s a flow to the experience compared to the digital discrete “high” feel from distillate cannabis concentrates.
Twenty minutes into the session we are cruising with strong euphoria, time distortions, creative surges, memory outages and excitement. At the half hour mark, we were firmly planted wherever we are fully absorbed into the ether of our existence. This is where the Assassins live.
From Wikipedia, The name “Assassin” is often said to derive from the Arabic word Hashishin or “users of hashish” sourced from The Assassins: a Radical Sect of Islam, pgs. 59-61. True or not, the “highs” produced from hashish have been legendary and represents an ancient way of consuming cannabis.
Activity pairing is best for “Me” time because of the intensity. With lower dosages, we imagine socializing and productive activities may be doable. Noteworthy for planning purposes, we felt a more than 50% drop in intensity after an hour, which is similar to distillate cannabis concentrates.
Conclusion
Traditional Pressed Hashish by 48North
This is the strongest hash we have consumed in recent memories. Stronger than OS.Hash10 by Original Stash, this traditional pressed hashish by 48North delivers as advertised, ” Like a photograph from the 70s, this hand-crafted hash harks back to a gentler, mellower time. ” This is a great opportunity to try something different and special.
THC: 45.6%
Quality: 9.1
Intensity: 8.6
Duration: 8.0
Total: 8.56
Cost: $28.95 for 1 gram
Would we buy this again? Yes. Beyond the cost is the opportunity to try a truly refined natural cannabis concentrate experience, which is priceless. “Like playing vinyl or writing a letter, hash takes a little extra time to prepare, but the end result is all the sweeter. “
On an investment note, in addition to producing this fine hashish, 48North is a big player in outdoor cannabis producing 12,000 kg in 2019 at a cost of $0.25 per gram. Half of 2019 harvest was recently sold to a wholesale buyer in Australia for about $1 a gram, or $5 million. The bulk of 2020 48North harvest is expected to be used for the manufacturing of extracted products. Whatever 48North does, we hope it ends up in a steady supply of hashish.
It appears that I can purchase legal recreational hash at my NSLC (Government dispensary) cheaper than you can sell it for; plus, it’s higher in THC.
I’d purchase from you if the potency was higher. and if the price was cheaper. Example: Tremblant Hash here costs 29.98 for two grams (47%). I can also purchase 1.5 grams of Caper’s Pineapple Hash (55% THC) for 29.98 as well.
Are you able to offer something similar?
Thanks,
Rick
Hi Rick,
Err … we do not Sell anything here.
But, that 1.5 grams of Caper’s Pineapple Hash sounds Delicious and Amazing.
