Strain Integrity

According to Simply Bare. ” BC Organic Apple Toffee is a FVOPA Organic Certified hybrid with a slight indica leaning. Visually this cultivar has has big, thick leaves surrounding slightly fluffy-looking, yet dense buds. With a lineage of Sour Apples and Crème Brûlée you get an interesting combination of kushy and fruity, sweet aromas – you can almost smell the apple.

From Leafly, ” Expect to pucker up, because this strain will send your tastebuds a-tinglin’. Bright green in color with a distinct sour apple candy aroma, Sour Apple lives up to its name. You won’t get a sugar rush from this strain—it may leave you stuck on the couch. This strain is good for after work or on a lazy afternoon. A cross between Sour Diesel and Cinderella 99, Sour Apple at its best is extremely potent. Try this strain if you’re looking to relax and ease stress.

On Crème Brûlée, ” Creme Brule is a rare indica dominant hybrid strain (80% indica/20% sativa) created through crossing the classic Platinum Kush X OG Kush X Girl Scout Cookies strains. Known for its insanely delicious flavor ….  The Crème Brule high is just as addictive as the flavor, with long lasting and lifted effects that are perfect for those days or nights when you just want to kick back and relax. You’ll feel a lifted onset hit your brain a few minutes after your last toke, filling you with a sense of pure happiness and a deep-felt feeling of relaxation. Soon, this effect will wash over the rest of your body, lulling you into a totally sedated state that can lead to couch-lock and a long and peaceful nap. Thanks to these effects and its high level of potency ….

A delicious name

BC Organic Apple Toffee by Simply Bare packaged September 15, 2020, cost $55.95 for 3.5 grams with 18.098% THC and a strong piney earthy medicinal scent.  Our test amount was 0.26 grams.

The “high”  starts after the inhalation session ends with a slow rising euphoria and a head buzz.  The “high” creeps with growing intensity as we pass the 10 minute mark.  The inhalation session tasted of Indica and this is hitting like an Indica.  Smooth is the operative word.  Entering the 15 minute mark, the music goes psychedelic and our hearts exploded with “Joy.”  Everyone is our best friend.

Half an hour into the session, we are in a different reality where our bodies are relaxed and our minds unshackled from its physical constraint drifting in the essence of life.  We could feel the disorentating effects of the time dilation under the intense gravity of the “high.”  Only WMMC, TGOD and Simply Bare have delivered these psychedelic states with THC under 20%.  These are the “Living Soil” producers.  And, they are all expensive.

Activity pairing is best relaxed with a pair of really good headphones.  This strain is for enjoying yourself and everything around you.  It is not about being productive.  Apple Toffee is a sweet treat to be enjoyed in solitude or with friends or a significant other … enjoy.

Conclusion

BC Organic Apple Toffee by Simply Bare (Rubicon)

Unfortunately, we enjoyed another expensive Simply Bare product.  BC Organic Apple Toffee is our first Indica strain by Simply Bare and it’s a winner.  From a genetic expression, we believe we saw a lot more of Crème Brûlée given the overwhelming sense of “Joy” we felt.  Yea, it is expensive but ….

THC:  18.098%

Quality:  8.6

Intensity:  8.0

Duration:  8.1

Total:  8.23

Cost:  $55.95 for 3.5 grams

Would we buy this again?  Yes, if it’s cheaper.  Living soil produce a unique cannabis bud structure and a distinct type of “high.”   We would like to see higher THC levels given the price.   We could only imagine what a high THC version of Apple Toffee would be like … Simple Divine?

On an investment note, the addition of new craft growers into the legal market is on a weekly basis.   Is it about Premium product and pricing for profitability?    Only time will tell if these $15 a gram and higher are sustainable pricing models.
