Strain Integrity

According to Leafly, ” This cross between Sour Diesel and OG Kush from DNA Genetics is a winning combination. For those looking for daytime pain relief, Sour Kush might be one of the best choices out there. Providing consumers with an uplifting experience without overwhelming sedative effects, this hybrid is great for day-to-day consumption. Sour Kush ignites a giggly and euphoric feeling alongside deep physical relaxation. This strain is extremely pungent, so it’s best stored in tightly sealed containers.

From the OCS website, ” Skip across the sour patch to this irresistible Sour Kush. Welcome to the adults’ table – sour powered flower with some diesel stank. Thank you for coming to our Sour Kush talk.

Life is Good

Sour Kush by Good Supply packaged on August 3, 2020, cost $86.25 for 15 grams with 19.41% THC smelling exotically citrusy peppery after a day with our Boveda 62% humidity pack.  It was really dry, which has been a Good Supply and RIFF trademark.  Our test amount was 0.26 grams.

The “high” comes on like a morning Sunrise.  It starts with a euphoric body lift and a mental awakening.   The feel good effect grows stronger as we approach the 10 minute mark.  Creativity is King.  At the 15 minute mark, this Sour Kush hits its stride with blossoming creativity, refreshing focus, good intentions driven by an uplifting smooth energy flow.   Yum, this is Sour Kush.

Sour Kush is a vibrant productive strain.  One hour into the session the intensity remained strong and immersive.  This Sour Kush is hitting above the price point with an undeniable satisfaction.  At this point in time under the Sour Kush influence, we have no idea why anyone would pay 3X more to get “high?”  Yea, sure the expensive is a bit better but this Sour Kush is a lot cheaper.  The “high” drops in intensity is noticeable past the 90 minute mark and provides a bit over two hours of enjoyable effects.

Activity pairing is anytime anywhere.  Sour Kush is our coffee replacement we used for an energy pickup at anytime of the day or evening.

Conclusion

Sour Kush by Good Supply (Aphria)

Life is “good” when we can get solid effect cannabis at these price points of $175 to $150 an ounce.  Sour Kush by Good Supply delivers a level of intensity and effects that is satisfying enough to be content after consumption.  Consumers, however, may be better served if LPs offered a 3.5 grams sampler size with the volume offerings.  Other than getting stuck with at least half an ounce, there should be little downside in trying this Sour Kush by Good Supply.

THC:  19.408%

Quality:  8.0

Intensity:  8.0

Duration:  7.8

Total:  7.93

Cost:  $86.25 for 15 grams

Would we buy this again?  Absolutely “Yes” without reservations.  While Sour Kush by Good Supply is not as visually appealing, the product delivered very enjoyable effects at a very competitive price.  For sativa fans, this is a solid strain to have in the inventory that can fit into any rotation at anytime.

On an investment note, what type of competitive environment is the cannabis market?  Is this a Perfect Competition market where consumers have absolute power?  Or, is this an Oligopoly market?  Reality is either grey or colourful but seldom black and white.  We think Aphria is creating an Oligopoly market in a Perfect Competition marketplace.  Translated, Aphria is winning.
