Craft Mandarin Cookies by BOAZ packaged on September 1, 2020, came with 25.41% THC cost $55.95 for 3.5 grams and smelling medicinal and citrusy.   Our test amount was 0.26 grams.

Mandarin Cookies “high” is an accelerant whose initial primary effect is to increase euphoric and creative intensities rapidly.  Energy lift is strong powering a clear focus mind only to be hijacked into a mental landscape full of interesting rabbit holes threatening to derail our review processes.  This is a challenging strain review as we fight the “high” to get things done.    We are experiencing Einstein’s effect where time is not linear but can really dilate.  Ten, fifteen and twenty minutes as time elongates to swallow us alive, this Mandarin Cookies are dangerously enjoyable.

Past the half hour mark, the body relaxation effects emerges to be more noticeable.  Couch Locked and mental lockdown is a double whammer to ensure full compliance with the strain effects.  The first 45 minutes was total domination by the “Mandarin Cookies”.  After that spin cycle, some resemblance of control returned as we gladly triangulate towards reality.   For those who have tried Forum Cut Girl Scout Cookies, this is very similar in intensity and cerebral fireworks but a bit more tranquilizing.  Grandma “GSC” genetics were well expressed in Mandarin Cookies.

In our real World walking review protocol, the first 45 minutes insulated us with a heavy indica cloak of blissfulness.  Walking was not the best activity with a heavy tranquilized body effect.  Overall, the “high” last a long time going for a full 3 hour experience.

Activity pairing based on how the “high” unfolds makes this strain more suitable for evenings.  The first 45 minutes of the “high” had a very indica blissfulness cocooning but this changes to a more uplifting cerebral happy “high” in the second half.   Plan accordingly.

Would we buy this again?  Yes.  This is expensive but BOAZ delivered the numbers, 25.41% THC!  If this is too expensive, a good cheaper equivalent is Gage’s Orange CKS.

On an investment note, BOAZ is a small craft grower growing it the old school way to produce a product cannabis enthusiast can appreciate.   The hybrid greenhouse, which most LPs are using, present a compelling more sustainable model for growing but the results have been underwhelming as the growers try to dial in the new growing techniques of incorporating sunlight.  For now, how the LPs grow cannabis may be a good predictor of the quality and accordingly how attractive it is as an investment.
