From The Green Organic Dutchman, ” The Green Organic Dutchman presents Organic Rockstar Tuna. Certified organically grown in living soil, this adored Indica strain was originally created through crossing the classic strains Tuna Kush and Rockstar. It has made a name for itself thanks to its intense fish-like aroma, gorgeous buds, and unique flavour profile that combines fruity-skunk, and spicy herbs.
Our Organic Rockstar Tuna cultivar delivers a mid-to-high range of THC with a unique terpene profile that brings alpha-Humulene, alpha-Bisabolol, and beta-Caryophyllene to the forefront. A unique and enjoyable strain for those looking for an Indica that can be easily enjoyed throughout the day. ”
According to allbud.com, ” Rockstar Tuna, also known as “Tuna Rockstar” or “Tuna Star,” is a heavily indica dominant hybrid strain (90% indica/10% sativa) created through crossing the classic Tuna Kush X Rockstar strains. This bud steals its aroma from its infamous Tuna Kush parent, with a super pungent overtone that’s accented by rotting fish and a touch of spicy grapes and herbs. The flavor is on the lighter side, with an earthy skunky taste that’s accented by sweet grapes and spicy herbs. The Rockstar Tuna high is just as unique as the high, with lifted effects that will leave you totally relaxed and ravenously hungry for hours on end. The high starts with a rush of lifted effects that leave your mind soaring through totally unfocused bliss. As your mind lifts higher and higher, your body will begin to fade away into a deep sense of relaxation and ease without sedation. Thanks to these effects and its high 19-26% average THC level, Rockstar Tuna is often chosen to treat those suffering from conditions such as chronic stress, appetite loss or nausea, chronic pain, cramps or muscle spasms, or inflammation. This bud has rounded minty green nugs with lots of orange hairs and a coating of frosty thick amber crystal trichomes. ”
A West Coast Classic
Organic Rockstar Tuna by The Green Organic Dutchman packaged on October 4, 2020, cost $42.95 for 3.5 grams with 22.44% THC and an medicinal earth piney scent. Our test amount was 0.26 grams.
The “high” starts after a faster than normal inhalation session. The relatively smooth taste reflected the earthy piney scent. Rockstar Tuna once engaged waste no time in taking care of business. Ten minutes after inhalation, the energy is at full blast with time swirling hurling our minds into an upside down world. The next ten minutes disappear with the snap of a finger. The rapid swirling mental chaos ebbs away into a clear calmer state as we past the 20 minute mark with da magic carpet arrival.
Organic Rockstar Tuna is a calm vibrant energetic blissful “high” with a natural relaxing rhythm. As we drift pass the half hour mark, our clear refreshed mind with a relaxed body can crush the stress away. At the 45 minute mark, the drop in intensity was noticeable and life is more manageable. Rockstar Tuna delivers the classic west coast Indica combining the best of sativa vibrancy with strong relaxing indica effects.
Activity pairing is best for the evening time slots. The strong energy enables the enjoyment of a broad range of activities. The first half hour of explosive energy and chaotic intensity makes “Me” time a bit more challenging. There is a strong party mood in the first half hour. It is a Rockstar after all.
Organic Rockstar Tuna by The Green Organic Dutchman
We are fans of “Living Soil” cultivation. There are 3 known Living Soil cultivators, WMMC, TGOD and Simply Bare, and they are all expensive. Organic Rockstar Tuna by The Green Organic Dutchman is another “Living Soil” product to be sampled.
Cost: $42.95 for 3.5 grams
Would we buy this again? Unfortunately, No? While we are big fans of TGOD, this strain did not resonate with us but it may for others. We prefer Rockstar genetics on its own as a very vibrant party energy Indica … just like a Rockstar. The Tuna genetics took out the party intensity of Rockstar for us. The bottom line, however, is this is a tastefully rendered “Living Soil” Rockstar Tuna for those who like this strain.
On an investment note, TGOD is in some significant financial challenges. Selling, General and Administrative (SG&A) cost have been as high as $16.7 million on $2.6 million in revenues in Q3/2019 have now been reduced to $7.3 million with revenues of $5.71 million in Q3/2020. When the SG&A is higher than revenues, the prospect of surviving is ZERO. On our review pipeline is TGOD’s value brand “Highly Dutch Organics” in their attempt to increase revenues. The drama continues ….
