Strain Integrity

From allbud.com, ” Blueberry and Haze are two strains that have gained renown for their potency and unusual flavor profiles. No surprise, then, that this cross between the two is a popular hybrid in its own right. Blueberry Haze leans sativa, but its body high can prove heavy and almost incapacitating if the bud is consumed in larger quantities. Cannabis testing lab Analytical 360 has consistently found the strain to have between 14% and 23% THC, averaging out at about 16%.

From the OCS website, ” Blue Nova is a sativa-dominant hybrid with a sweet berry aroma and sugary flavour. The bud is dense, sticky and rich with trichomes, with THC levels reaching up to 20%.

Blueberry Haze

Blue Nova (Blueberry Haze) by Sundial packaged on October 2, 2020, about 8 weeks before our purchase, cost $32.95 for 3.5 grams came with a 20.3% THC and a hint of spice floral scent.  Out test amount was 0.26 grams.

The “high’ starts in the head after a short but tasty inhalation session.  20.3% THC is enough to launch a strong take off with increasing intensity in the firing of our cerebral synapses.  At the ten minute mark, creativity comes and kicks our head demanding our full attention.  As we crept towards the 15 minute mark, time elongates giving a dreamy feel to reality.  Blue Nova conjures up a world of Blue Dream, Jean Guy, or Blue Cheese.  We think of it as a creamy sativa.

At the half hour mark, we were wrapped in a cocoon of blissfulness trapped in a creative maze where time stands still.  Happy, euphoric blissfulness and creatively imprisoned combination is a spell binding winner.  This is really an enjoyable strain delivering a solid two hours of a blissfully vibrant cerebral awakening with another hour of chill vibes.

Activity pairing is best for afternoons or evenings time slots.  Blue Nova initial smooth energy with creativity can make this strain a productivity tool.  The second hour, however, is more of a body relaxation and a resting position is preferred.  Plan accordingly.

Intensity:  8.1

Duration:  8.1

Total: 8.17

Would we buy this again?  Maybe.  While we enjoyed Blue Nova, there are many good alternatives like Good Supply’s Royal Highness ($23.95), Northern Harvest’s Strawberry Ice ($24.90) and Emerald’s Durga Mata ($25.95) to name a few of our favourites in this genre.  Life is tough.  But, if you have not tried Blueberry Haze, this is a good opportunity because we believe this is an excellent rendition.

On an investment note, Sundial’s Senior Debt converting to equity removed a major bankruptcy threat and the stock market rewarded the Company with a 100%+ pop in the stock price.  This is the “Way” out of financial disaster for the Canadian cannabis industry.  Congratulations! to Sundial and all their shareholders.
