Strain Integrity

According to Leafly, ” Meet Northern Berry (or Northernberry), daughter to the power couple Northern Lights #5 and Blueberry. Her father passes on that signature blueberry aroma underscored by notes of earthy hash. Despite its heavy indica influence, Northern Berry delivers a complex balance of cerebral and body effects best suited for late afternoon or evening consumption. Novices, take caution: Northern Berry is intense experience for both mind and body, and may induce an early night’s sleep when overdone. However, for you patients treating pain and insomnia, these crushingly heavy effects may be just what you need to put symptoms to rest.

From the OCS website, ” Northern Berry is a cross of the famous Northern Lights and Blueberry strains. This beautiful indica flower is dark green with purple marbling and orange pistils at maturity.

Expect loud berry aromas courtesy of dominant limonene and humulene terpenes, with spicy notes shining through from myrcene and caryophyllene. Care and attention during cultivation and post-harvest ensures freshness and good trichome health, so you get all the terpenes you bargained for.

A dreamy tranquilizing Indica

Northern Berry UP20 by UP packaged on October 20th, 2020, cost $29.95 for 3.5 grams with 22.59% THC and a faint floral citrusy scent.  Our test amount was 0.26 grams.

The “high” starts during inhalation and continues after with vigor.  Within a few minutes after the inhalation session ends, we lost track of time and purpose.   But we are Pros and exerted our mental fortitude to bring everything back on track with this review.  Strong euphoric rise at a dizzying pace coupled with intense time dilation and loss of short term memory greeted us ten minutes into the session.  When creativity enters the room, the demand for attention is absolute and with a mind of it’s own.  Da Magic Carpet has arrived.

Twenty minutes later, “Joy” and “Blissfulness” emerges with forcefulness as the “high” continues to bring more expressions to light.   The tranquilizing body effects began around the half hour mark.   The harmony of this “high” hits its peak by delivering a fully relaxed body and destressed mind.  At the end of the first hour, the cerebral intensity has dropped noticeably but the tranquilizing body effects got stronger.  A 22%+ THC “high” always last longer and Northern Berry delivers a solid two to three hour “high” experience.

Activity pairing is best for the later part of the day or evening.  The 22.59% THC delivers a forceful impact “high” that can modulate any activity into a euphoric creative joyful experience.  While we could be productive in the first hour, we recommend Northern Berry for the precious “Me” time just to rejuvenate and refresh.

Northern Berry UP20 by UP (Hexo)

Northern Berry UP20 by UP is another winner in an UP relaunched under the UP20 brand signaling all products are over 20% THC.  Northern Berry delivers initially a deep creative blissful “high” evolving into a heavier tranquilizing body “high” making this a very enjoyable strain.

Quality:  8.2

Intensity:  8.2

Duration:  8.2

Total:  8.2

Cost:  $29.95 for 3.5 grams

Would we buy this again?  Yes.  For a price of $240 an ounce equivalent with over 20% THC, UP20 products are great deals by any measure be it legal market, or grey market.  This Northern Berry hits all the check marks for us delivering a very enjoyable “high” experience.  Accordingly, we recommend trying Northern Berry UP20 by UP.

On an investment note, Hexo announced a reverse stock split to ensure they maintain a stock price above $1.00 on their New York stock listing.  Aurora did a stock reverse split for a $20 stock price and saw the price declined further to the $5 range before recovering to today’s $13 range.  Sadly. our UP20 review while positive was an expensive acquisition by Hexo resulting in significant write offs contributing to their current predicament.  But, we like Hexo and we think they will survive.  And, “No,” we do not own Hexo stock.
