Strain Integrity
According to Leafly, “ Original Glue (GG4), developed by GG Strains, is a potent hybrid strain that delivers heavy-handed euphoria and relaxation, leaving you feeling “glued” to the couch. Its chunky, resin-covered buds fill the room with pungent earthy and sour aromas inherited from its parent strains, Chem’s Sister, Sour Dubb, and Chocolate Diesel. Taking first place in both the Michigan and Los Angeles 2014 Cannabis Cups as well as the High Times Jamaican World Cup, this multiple award-winning hybrid’s supremacy is no longer a secret, and consumers will search far and wide to get their hands sticky with Original Glue (GG4). ”
From TGOD, ” The Green Organic Dutchman presents Organic GG#4. Certified organically grown in living soil, this Indica-dominant flower is known for its chunky, dense covered buds and pungent room filling aroma.
Originally bred by GG Strains, GG#4 goes by a few names. Originally called Gorilla Glue #4, GG#4 is sometimes referred to as Original Glue, and has a parent lineage that includes Chem’s Sister, Sour Dubb, and Chocolate Diesel. TGOD’s own organically grown cultivar offers a classic earthy and sour aroma profile, leaning heavily into traditional cannabis notes with hints of a light floral sweetness.
With dominant terpenes that include beta-Myrcene, alpha-Humulene, and beta-Myrcene, this popular strain remains a favorite to enjoy in the late afternoon and evenings. ”
GG#4 ~ The standard for Couchlock
Organic GG#4 by The Green Organic Dutchman (TGOD) packaged on October 13, 2020, cost $42.95 for 3.5 grams with 19.69% THC and an earth piney scent. Our test amount was 0.26 grams.
Let’s begin with the “taste,” which is always amazing and a pleasure to consume with Living Soil grown cannabis. WMMC, TGOD and Simply Bare are the flag bearers with this growing technique. The “high” starts to accelerate about 5 minutes after inhalation. Starting with euphoria, the “high” quickly evolves by adding debilitating time dilation and a total shut down of short term memory function to create a pleasurable couchlock that only a Gorilla Glue #4 can deliver. The intense gravity of the “high” can slow time to a crawl.
Some of the best tasting cannabis we have tried were from Whistler Marijuana Medical Corporation (WMMC), Simply Bare and TGOD. The scent and taste of WMMC Blue Cheese is “Stunning.” Simply Bare’s Blue Dream redefines the Blue Dream strain’s taste and effects. TGOD’s Chocolope was a mind busting strain with less than 13% THC. As “Living Soil” fans, we say “You have to try “Living Soil” grown cannabis.”
After the 45 minute mark, we felt a slight drop in intensity allowing us to triangulate back to reality with our feet back on the ground. The second hour past almost as quickly as the first hour. The bottom line was a satisfying “high.”
Activity pairing is best for the evening time slot. The intense debilitating time dilation and short term memory malfunction made goals and objectives difficult to manage. Organic GG#4 is great for refreshing and rejuvenating the tired body and mind.
Conclusion
Organic GG#4 by The Green Organic Dutchman
Gorilla Glue #4 has always been a staple in our weekly rotation. We are Gorilla Glue #4 connoisseurs and we approve Organic GG#4 by TGOD.
THC: 19.69%
Quality: 8.2
Intensity: 8.2
Duration: 8.0
Total: 8.13
Cost: $42.95 for 3.5 grams
Would we buy this again? Unfortunately, No. The cost is the main reason because there are much cheaper and almost as good options. Good Supply’s Monkey Glue is half the cost with very potent effects. But if you are a GG#4 fan, you many want to try a “Living Soil” grown version. Alternatively, Highly Dutch is TGOD’s value brand and that is also an opportunity to try cheaper “Living Soil” grown products. This review is more about trying cannabis by the way they were grown.
On an investment note, TGOD recent quarter saw increase revenues, which they attributed to the launch of their value brand, Highly Dutch. With one of the scariest cringe worthy cost structure, TGOD is trying to reign in cost. Selling, General & Administrative cost cannot be 300% of revenues. With a new CEO, investors can hope cost will be more reasonable. TGOD just needs some adult supervision.
