Strain Integrity
According to Leafly, ” Mac 1 is a hybrid marijuana strain that crosses Alien Cookies F2 with Miracle 15. Mac 1 is a popular strain that consumers turn to for upbeat and balancing effects. But Mac 1 is special because not just anyone can grow it. In fact, growers of Mac 1 (Capulator’s Cut) have been carefully selected by the breeder in order to protect the quality of this versatile flower. Mac 1 is an instagram worthy strain, with eye-poppingly gorgeous buds that are nearly white and drenched in milky trichomes. Mac 1 comes through with a smooth, creamy, and funky terpene profile you can enjoy day and night. ”
From the OCS website, ” Enjoy our high THC MAC1, the latest entry in the Citizen Stash organic small batch series. Pesticide free, hand harvested and trimmed, MAC1 is a powerful strain with an earthy floral scent and a hint of citrus. Well suited for those with an elevated tolerance. ”
Expensive “Wake & Bake”
MAC-1 by Citizen Stash cost $59.95 for 3.5 grams with 24.1% THC and an exotic sativa scent. Our test amount was 0.26 grams.
The “high” starts immediately with a euphoric lift and a growing sense of anticipatory excitement after inhalation ends. There was no denying we are in an altered state after 10 minutes. The “high” delivered a clear euphoric mind with an optimistic and outward bound energy filled with creativity. The effects of time dilation was as understated encumbrance standing behind the radiant vibrancy of the “high.”
When the cultivator and the cultivar pairs, we get the psychedelic “high” experience … all of the cannabis expressions comes together to weave a World where we can “Shine.” Half an hour drifts by as the creative monkeys dance in our heads lighting up our cerebral synapses. The first hour goes by and we are still feeling the intensity as the music multiplex into a hundred channels sending us drifting further.
Outside of our isolation tank in a real world environment, MAC-1 delivered a solid wake and bake performance with a crystal clear intensity, which is perfect for productivity quests. We also did a side by side comparison to WMMC’s Sour Jack at 26.37%. They both taste very similar and the “high” were almost identical. But, Sour Jack had a stronger intensity and cerebral fireworks.
For activity pairing we are going to suggest an educational activity to illustrate the productivity powers of “studying” with cannabis. We suggest pairing MAC-1 with a FREE Harvard Introduction to Computer Science. No prerequisite is required other than a curious intellect. This is the best introduction to computer programming we have come across. A strain replacement for this exercise would be Sundial’s Lemon Riot, which is also great for studying. Enjoy.
Conclusion
MAC 1 by Citizen Stash (Experion Holdings Ltd.)
MAC-1 has a legendary status and with great “Expectations” come great “Disappointments.” This review was also motivated by Citizen Stash cultivation skills. While we really enjoyed reviewing MAC-1 by Citizen Stash, the pricing left us with a bitter after taste, which was not unexpected. This is a very expensive “Wake & Bake.”
THC: 24.1%
Quality: 8.6
Intensity: 8.4
Duration: 8.2
Total: 8.4
Cost: $59.95 for 3.5 grams
Would we buy this again? Unfortunately, No, because it is too expensive. The quality of the “high,” however, is one of those rare super productive strains that can deliver all the right expressions to be creatively productive. We can achieve similar “high” productivity states with cheaper options like Sundials’ Lemon Riot, which is less euphoric and creative but equally pristine and clear in mental focus. But, if you have not tried MAC-1, this is better than our Qwest 18.97% THC MAC-1 reviewed.
On an investment note, we are happy for Experion Holdings going up 200% since we last reviewed Citizen Stash. Experion Holdings have one of the nicest balance sheet we have seen. With the US election over and more States legalizing, the time to enter the cannabis market has never been better. Again, our advice to investors is to invest in the cannabis indexes.
Great writing you sound like a really smart person. But all of this weed sucks. The only review I’d agree with you on was broken coast. But after a second purchase it wasn’t good anymore. All these companies need to do better but when you’re making the kind of money they are now who cares about quality the average consumer doesn’t know the difference.
Your comment brings a SMILE to our face. Your disappointment has been experienced by all of us … everyone who has experience with cannabis. The sadness of our “human condition,” begins with one of our greatest strengths, which is our ability to adapt. Our ability to adapt is hardwired into us. When we exercise, we put our bodies under extreme stress. Our body adapts to the stress by growing stronger. When we get “high,” our body also adapts by building a tolerance. Strain surfing is one way of avoiding tolerance to a favourite strain. But it really doesn’t work because we are not as impressed with our only 10 rated WMMC Sour Jack anymore, which we always have in our personal inventory. We understand. Your comment brings a SMILE to our face.
You like Broken Coast because of their Indicaness so you are probably a young person. We think the effects of Sativa and Indica by Age would be an interesting study. We would hypothesize that Younger cannabis consumers should gravitate towards Indica because of the calming effects. Older cannabis consumers should gravitate towards sativa for the energy pickup. Our preference for strains may well be determined by factors beyond our control such as Age. To think we have free will in choosing our strains? Accordingly, you should not like MAC-1 because it is a pure sativa.
At Puff The Magic, we like to share with the World our passion for education, knowledge and the cannabis experience. It is not about being Dumber than Dumb and all the characters depicted in Weed movies. For us, getting “high” and studying are killer combos and a recipe for our life’s success. “Education is not preparation for life; education is life itself,” John Dewey. Check out the Harvard CS50 FREE on-line course next time you get “high” for a real mind expansion. You get to program right away after the first video lecture with Scratch. Don’t waste the “high.” Enjoy!
Nice review! I’ve never tried it but I’m not willing to pay $60 for an eighth. That being said, if it were to go one sale, would it be worth it to pick up MAC-1 over Broken coast or Msiku? I’ve heard that MAC-1 is supposed to be the holy grail strain, but didn’t get a high score compared to the other ones.
Thank you for the motivating comment.
We agree $60 is crazy price. The closes Msiku would be Peggy’s Pride, which is a unique strain by its own right. Broken Coast’s Denman has a clear intense creative euphoric focus just like the MAC-1.
There are 30%+ THC “The Holy Grail” MAC-1 that have been cultivated but that is not what we are getting. But, we are getting charged as though it’s a 30%+ THC MAC-1.
We think it is worth trying MAC-1 if it’s on sale.
