Strain Integrity

According to Leafly, ” Dark Helmet is an indica dominant hybrid strain (70% indica/30% sativa) created through crossing the classic Forum Cut Girl Scout Cookies X Jawa Pie strains. Named for the infamous Spaceballs character, Dark Helmet is, surprisingly, one of the most calming strains on the market. In fact, even with its heavy indica dominance, most of the effects of Dark Helmet concentrate on the mind, leaving you in a state of pure blissful euphoria for hours and hours on end. You’ll feel all negative or racing thoughts wash away, leaving you with a sense of deep peace and relaxation that permeates both mind and body without causing sedation. Thanks to these hard-hitting cerebral effects ….

From the OCS website, ” For us, this is the strain that started it all. This strain produces very dense, frosty buds. The initial scent of jet fuel is followed by pleasant and flavours of lime and sugar cookies. If you’re looking for an incredibly smooth, almost creamy smoke, Drew’s Dark Helmet is really in a league of its own.

Because it’s just the right thing to do, all our flower is hang dried, hand trimmed, slow cold cured, and hand packaged. We believe fresh and terpy is best, so all our flower is packaged in a nitrogen flushed pouch that features a perfect airtight seal. Non irradiated, obviously.

An Indica Sedation

Drew’s Dark Helmet by Carmel packaged on December 18, 2020, cost $45.95 for 3.5 grams with 18.64% THC 3.14% Terpenes and a very piney scent.  Out test amount was 0.26 grams.

The “high” started after a fast tasty inhalation session.  Drew’s Dark Helmet starts with a body “high” effect creating a new internal “Vitality” infused exoskeleton framework.  Creativity slowly increase in intensity as we past the 10 minute mark.  Drew’s Dark Helmet is a bit of a creeper with the “high” evolving in intensity and more expressions unfolding over the first 20 minutes.  We have a full creative euphoric happy body stupor “high” happening after 30 minutes.

With time dilation, the first hour disappeared quickly and the “high” transformed to a deeper more relaxing euphoric trance.   Drew’s Dark Helmet took us a refreshing creative stupor where stress melts away as we rejuvenate in blissfulness.  Drew’s Dark Helmet at 18.64% THC is hitting a lot harder than Canaca 26% THC Green Cush.  This is one example where THC does not matter.  But, look at the 3.14% Terpenes.

Activity pairing is best for the evening time slots.  Drew’s Dark Helmet starts with a body “Vitality” charge that transformed to a deep mind and body sedation, which means stay close to a couch for maximum enjoyment.  For the young and restless mid-20s something, Drew’s Dark Helmet is just what they need to jump start the day.

On an investment note, Drew Master Grower of Carmel hosted a reddit AMA session was an excellent introduction of Carmel to cannabis community.  While stoners were hanging out with their favourite craft grower, Namaste, after being stalked by Sundial, fell into the arms of White Knight, Hexo in a paper swap  deal worth $235 million.  Hexo did a good job with their acquisition of Up Cannabis and a successful UP20 re-branding.  Can Hexo do it again?
