Looking for Mr. Good Lights

Northern Lights by Top Leaf (Sundial) is our quest for an old favourite and friend, Northern Lights.  Packaged on November 27, 2020, this Northern Lights cost $47.65 with 25.0% THC and a very faint scent of something earthy (unappealing).  Our test amount was 0.26 grams.

The “high” starts with a sense of well being and growing euphoria.  Immediately after the inhalation session, the 25.0% THC starts its magic.  A slippery floating feeling with a busy noisy mind and time dilation is prominent.   As intensity continues to increase for the first 15 minutes, our grasp on reality diminishes.   The “body high” emerges around the 20 minute mark to tranquilize.   Welcome to a heavy Indica Land “high.”

Expectation is the Killer of Life’s experience.  Our expectations of a good Northern Lights rendition would deliver a smooth micro-LSD like experience.  Clearly, this Northern Lights is from a different phenotype as there are many variations of Northern Lights.  We can only conclude the Northern Lights phenotype we are looking for is DEAD.  Long Live today’s Northern Lights!  It’s a hardcore Indica.

Activity pairing for this heavy Indica would be the evening time slots.  Northern Lights by Top Leaf is a classic Indica with strong tranquilizing effects and limited cerebral stimulation to be used accordingly.

Northern Lights by Top Leaf (Sundial) is a pure heavy Indica “high.”  While this Top Leaf’s 25.0% THC Northern Lights rendition is better than WEEDME’s 14.0% THC Northern Lights, we were still disappointed with the end results.  We blame it on our “Expectations.”

Would we buy this again?  No.  This is not the Northern Lights phenotype we were looking for.  This is an Indica heavy phenotype of Northern Lights.  For $10 less, try Haven St. Midnight Jam, for a killa Indica?

On an investment note, Sundial is an aggressive LP stalking Namaste with a hostile takeover, taking a $22 million stake in Indiva and raising another $89 million last week.  It seems like only yesterday when the Sundial stock was worth $0.18 in October 2020 as an ex-Sundial Founder punishes the stock by selling out.  Hitting a recent high of $2.95 a share, Sundial has been the Go-Go stock of cannabis.  There’s never a DULL moment in investments, which is why it is so much fun.
