Strain Integrity
From the OCS website, ” This indica flower has a consistently high potential of THC potency. This narrow-leafed, full of flower plant has an overabundance of trichomes from its flowery center carrying on throughout its trim and leaves. The amount of snow-like substance found on the flower is reminiscent of a winter wonderland. Our product has significant levels of myrcene which give off spicy, woody, and ripe flavours. Lemon Pepper Spice gives off the aroma of cantaloupe and melon which are accented by the spiciness (ocimene). Overall, the flower has a sweet and herb like flavour (guaiol). Our product as identified in its name, is home grown and hand nurtured at our greenhouse facility, steps from the Niagara Escarpment. The Niagara Region is one of the oldest parts of Canada so it links well with the older of the terpenes guaiol, which can be traced back to the 16th century. ”

A new Wake & Bake strain?
Lemon Pepper Spice by Dykstra Greenhouse packaged on January 28, 2021, cost $34.95 for 3.5 grams with 21.03% THC and an unremarkable scent with a faint hint of hay and spice. Our test amount was 0.26 grams.
The “high” starts with a vibrant happy uplifting euphoria after the end of an unremarkable fast burning inhalation session. There’s an effervescent happiness feel with a sense of something good is going to happen. It feels like a bright sunny morning with the birds chirping ambiance. Ten minutes came with little fan fare as Miss Memory was very distracting. Lemon Pepper Spice’s “high” would be something we expect, a vibrant sunny happy Sativa Land.
The first half hour was very Sativa not unlike a Sensi Star, which is an Indica with Sativa effects. For fans of Pineapple Express, or Pineapple Skunk, Lemon Pepper Spice is a very similar Bake & Wake type of “high.” After an hour, the “high” continued with a slight drop in intensity for a total of two solid enjoyable hours.
Activity pairing is best for the daytime slots. Lemon Pepper Spice can be a very productive strain and excels as a coffee replacement with a cerebral boost.
Conclusion
Lemon Pepper Spice by Dykstra Greenhouse
Lemon Pepper Spice by Dykstra Greenhouse “high” is a strong Indica with a Sativa feel like a Pineapple Express, or Sensi Star. It is unfortunate the word “home grown” was used in the description because the “Hay” scent reminded us of home grown cannabis. But, the Lemon Pepper Spice “high” was actually really awesome.
THC: 21.03%
Terpenes: 0.72%
Quality: 8.0
Intensity: 8.0
Duration: 8.0
Total: 8.0
Cost: $34.97 for 3.5 grams
Would we buy this again? Maybe. We would like to see 7 grams or higher offerings. At the $35 for 3.5 grams price point we have Haven St., Thumbs Up, Cove and FIGR with equally strong products but nicer scents. But for those who miss the Pineapple Express type of “high,” give Lemon Pepper Spice a try.
On an investment note, Dykstra Greenhouse is a landscaping business transformed to a cannabis growing business. We would encourage supporting local community growers like Dykstra Greenhouse because we believe in grass roots economics.
