Strain Integrity

From the OCS website, ” Ex Wife is an OG lover’s dream. Combining two heavy hitters like Triangle Mints F2 and Ghost OG, the results reveal an undeniable aroma of pine, diesel, and lemon. On the inhale, a creamy OG gas fills the mouth, leaving you with a balanced and relaxed exhale.

From Qwest’s website, ” Ex-Wife is a unique combination of old school (Ghost OG) and new age (Trophy Wife). Together, these cultivars create a breed that yields phenomenal levels of THC.

On Ghost OG, ” Ghost OG, a cut of OG Kush, is a hybrid strain loved for its balanced cerebral and body effects. Often described as simultaneously potent and non-intrusive, Ghost OG has won itself Cup awards and renown among consumers. Its strong citrus smell and crystal-covered buds hint at this strain’s strong genetics and its ability to annihilate pain, insomnia, depression, and anxiety.

On Trophy Wife, ” Bred by HGH Seeds, Trophy Wife crosses The Wife with Cherry Wine. This CBD heavy strain flowers quickly in 8 weeks, producing a quality yield with resin-coated lime green buds. This strain has a flavor profile with notes of cheese and skunk and undertones of cherry.

Note:  We have Mass Confusion with two different genetic descriptions.

Shouldn’t have divorced her

Ex-Wife by Qwest (Decibel Cannabis Company) packaged on January 21, 2021, cost $54.95 for 3.5 grams with 26.42% THC and a gassy exotic earthy sweet floral scent.  Our test amount was 0.26 grams.

The “high” starts slow and steady with a persistence increase in euphoria.  Masked by a heavy cloak of Time dilation, by the time we realized we’re “high” we were really “high.”  This is an understated “high” with strong elements of debilitating time distortion and memory chasing rabbits to short circuit any coherence senses to evaluate anything.  There is a sense of anticipation and 26.42% THC worth of panic.  Is this what an Ex-Wife does?

When the Ex-Wife comes around, half an hour whizzes by with the snap of the fingers.  Time flies when you are having fun.  Ex-Wife’s  “high” peaked 45 minutes after inhalation with strong euphoria, creativity and a sense of joyful anticipation.  Past the two hour mark, we were as “high” as the value cannabis peak experience.  Honestly, we should not have divorced her.

Activity pairing for Ex-Wife is best for the later part of the day.  While the initial two hours were excellent for productive endeavours, the third hour resulted in a heavier tranquilized state, which is more suitable for the prone position activities.  Plan accordingly.

Conclusion

Ex-Wife by Qwest (Decibel Cannabis Company)

Ex-Wife by Qwest is one of those Indica that hits like a Sativa.  26.42% THC delivered a transformative Indica Wake & Bake “high.”  We believe we got what we paid for.

THC:  26.42%

Quality:  8.8

Intensity:  9.0

Duration:  8.8

Total:  8.67

Cost:  $54.95 for 3.5 grams

Would we buy this again?  Unfortunately, No.  While we absolutely enjoyed Ex-Wife, we just cannot justify the cost outside of trying it once.  Similar “Wake & Bake” intense experience at a lower cost may include UP20 Ghost Train Haze, MTL’s Sage N Sour and OGEN’s Lemon Z.  If you have the money to burn, Ex-Wife is worth trying .

On an investment note, Decibel Cannabis is gathering resources focused on creating a successful cannabis business.  Debt is increasing and the margin of error is decreasing.  Qwest’s products are still too expensive.  But, Decibel’s Thunderchild Cultivation with Saskatchewan Thunderchild First Nation to produce Qwest ultra premium quality at scale is the potential to become something more.
