Strain Integrity

According to Leafly, ” A gorgeous homage to Original Glue, Early Glue RBx1 by Ethos Genetics crosses Black Fire F1 with Original Glue. The result is a plant with beautiful dense stacked flowers that are light green with purple calyxes and blanketed in resin. Expect a similar structure and aromas as Original Glue with pungent earthy, skunky, and sour notes. Its potent high is long-lasting, offering users a heightened mood and overall physical relaxation.

From the OCS website, ” This unique strain is the reverse back-cross of (GG4 x Black Fire F-1) with the original GG4. Our knockout indica pheno was selected for its larger bract size, delivering a higher density of trichomes for a more robust cannabinoid and terpene profile. The result? A distinctly creamy aroma with a funky floral finish. We hand-trim with precision and use minimal packaging with a secondary seal to help preserve trichomes and keep your buds fresher longer.

Take me home

Early Glue RBx1 #15 by OGEN packaged on November 4, 2020, cost $39.95 for 3.5 grams, or $224.95 for 28 grams, with 21.0% THC and a sweet floral piney scent.  Our test amount was 0.26 grams.

The “high” starts during and continues with conviction after the inhalation session.  A quick 5 minutes and we were assured this was going to be an impactful “high” as the intensity suddenly increased exponentially.  “Boom” we are there in Indica Land.  There’s a sense of euphoric goodwill anticipation translating to a deep sense of contentment and joy.  Is this the best OGEN of the three?

We really liked OGEN’s Lemon Z and Gas Berries #112.  The Lemon Z is a great coffee replacement.  OGEN’s Gas Berries is an intense heady hybrid, which we also really like.  But, this Early RBx1 #15 delivers a “Kick in the Head” introduction wins the day.  Note, it also has the highest THC at 21.0% of the 3 OGEN strains … just saying.

Activity pairing for Early RBx1 #15 is best for the evenings.  For all the strong energy delivery to power any physical tasks in the first hour, the tranquilizing body “high” will be more prominent in the second hour.

Conclusion

Early Glue RBx1 #15 by OGEN (Bloom Cultivation)

Early Glue RBx1 #15 is a cryptic name with a potent “high” to match.  This is full of intense effects from a blissful joy to a psychedelic world of perceptions.  This is the last of the current 3 OGEN strains all available in ounce options.  And, this Early Glue RBx1 #15 is our favourite.

THC:  21.0%

Quality:  8.4

Intensity:  8.2

Duration:  8.1

Total:   8.23

Cost:  $39.95 for 3.5 grams or $224.95 for 28 grams

Would we buy this again?  Yes.  We would like to enjoy all of OGEN’s Lemon Z, Gas Berries #112 and Early Glue RBx1 #15 and have them part of our daily rotation.  But, buying one ounce of each strain limits our inventory diversity.  It would be great to be able to buy all 3 strains in slightly smaller volumes like half ounces?

On an investment note, after two years of cannabis recreational legalisation, the price drop and volume offerings are finally here.  Packaging trends are also changing to soft shell packaging from hard shell containers in an effort to reduce cost.   Consumption trends continues to increase across Canada and the legal US States.  With emerging craft growers like Bloom Cultivation, a community driven cannabis LP, the Canadian cannabis future is bright.  OGEN is a brand attracting positive attention in the Canadian cannabis community.
