From the OCS website, ” Acapulco Gold from Jonny Chronic is a potent sativa strain that produces big beautiful buds that glisten with trichome-covered leaves and copper-orange pistils. Acapulco Golds is a Landrace that originates from Central America and is dominant in terpinene, caryophyllene, myrcene. Acapulco Gold plants are grown with the utmost care in small batches before they are hang-dried, slow-cured, and delicately hand-trimmed and then packaged fresh to preserve their true elegance. ”
According to Leafly, ” Acapulco Gold is a rare sativa marijuana strain. As one of the most well-known strains, Acapulco Gold has been likened to dinner at a five-star restaurant. This strain produces effects that are motivating and energizing. This strain comes from the area in and around Acapulco, Mexico, and its orange hairs resemble a gold nugget, with gold, green, and brown colors and plenty of resin on the buds. An aroma of burnt toffee lingers when the bud is broken up. Acapulco Gold has a reputation for being one of the best cannabis strains ever created, and it’s becoming more difficult to find. ”
A Legendary Landrace Strain
Acapulco Gold by Jonny Chronic (JC Greens Cannabis Inc.) packaged on February 24, 2021, cost $44.95 for 3.5 grams with 22.8% THC and an exotic sweet floral cheddar scent. Our test amount was 0.26 grams.
The “high” starts during inhalation and accelerates immediately after the session ended. This is a Sativa rising with buzzing euphoria as clarity pushes away cobwebs and creativity dances maniacally. A quick 5 minutes later, we put our seat belts on and buckled in for the ride. Time dilation assault is intense and disorientation can be extremely enjoyable, or terrifying?
After the first hour, Acapulco Gold’s “high” effects while slightly lower in intensity we were still fully engaged in its Euphoric world. At the end of the second hour, we felt slightly drained but satisfied after two hours of high energy encapsulation.
WMMC’s Acapulco Gold was the first time we tried this legendary strain. This Acapulco Gold by Jonny Chronic is more intense and disorientating, which we like a lot. WMMC’s Acapulco Gold with Terpinolene, D-Limonene and Caryophyllene, is calmer and more relaxed but with a similar intense euphoric creative “high.” Fans of cannabis, this is the opportunity to try the legendary landrace strain, Acapulco Gold.
Activity pairing is best for the daytime slots. Acapulco Gold by Jonny Chronic is an intense time demanding “high” experience, which is great for a late afternoon energy pickup.
Acapulco Gold by Jonny Chronic (JC Greens Cannabis Inc.)
The “Name” sells itself. Acapulco Gold by Jonny Chronic has sold out on the OCS in less than two weeks? This is an expensive rendition of Acapulco Gold. But ….
Terpenes: 2.54% (Myrcene 0.91%, Caryophyllene 0.61%, d-Limonene 0.25%)
Cost: $44.95 for 3.5 grams
Would we buy this again? No. While this was very enjoyable, this is very expensive. We have access to WMMC’s Acapulco Gold at 17.7% THC for $12 a gram on the medical side versus $12.84 a gram with 22.8% THC for Jonny Chronic. Delta 9’s Sinola Gold is also similar in “high” and and cheaper too at almost half the price. But, this is worth trying at least once? It’s Acapulco Gold, OK?
On an investment note, JC Greens Cannabis is an old school (literally grown in Leesboro Central School) grower with some amazing products. Our review of French Macaron by Jonny Chronic showcased their growing skills and validated again with Acapulco Gold. Given Msiku recent price dropped of their premium Sativa Peggy’s Pride to the $10 a gram range, pricing pressure is everywhere.
