From San Rafael ’71, ” Stonefruit Sunset is a hybrid strain with 19-25% THC – and is part of San Rafael 71’s new lineup of proprietary strains that are crossbred from highly desirable strains. A mix of Gelato and Fuel strains, Stonefruit Sunset offers a unique aroma of berries, sherbet and gas from its primary terpenes, Caryophyllene, Limonene and Myrcene. This hybrid strain is characterized by purple and green buds with bright orange pistils. ”

Aurora’s proprietary genetics

Stonefruit Sunset by San Rafael ’71 (Aurora) packaged on September 2nd, 2021, cost $$39.95 for 3.5 grams with 21.15% THC and a faint earthy herbal floral and piney scent.  Our test amount was 0.26 grams.

Stonefruit Sunset’s “high” kicks in just before our inhalation session ended.  Within a matter of seconds, our senses suddenly dilate into euphoria.  Fifteen minutes into the session, Stonefruit Sunset delivered a smooth euphoric sedative energy to cleanse, refresh and rejuvenate.  Off course, with 21.15% THC, Mr. Timer Dilation is your best friend.

Stonefruit Sunset is a proprietary strain from Aurora.  From our perspective, Stonefruit Sunset brings a new “high” profile with a heavier euphoric body sedation balanced against a forceful mental dream state.  Stonefruit Sunset delivers something between a Blue Dream and GG #4?  Stonefruit Sunset’s “high” last two hours with some lingering chill vibes.

Activity pairing is best for the evening time slots. This Stonefruit Sunset is a potent Indica to chill out an evening, or as the last call for the day.

Stonefruit Sunset by San Rafael ’71 (Aurora)

Stonefruit Sunset by San Rafael ’71 is a new genetic initiative from Aurora to stand out in a crowded marketplace.  We like Stonefruit Sunset as a new genetic with an interesting “high” profile.

THC:  21.15%

Quality:  8.5

Intensity:  8.4

Duration:  8.3

Total:  8.4

Cost:  $39.95 for 3.5 grams

Would we buy this again?  Yes.  Stonefruit Sunset’s “high” is very forceful with couchlock effect.  For your information, San Rafael ’71 (MedReleaf) and FLWR were both founded by Tom Flow.  MedReleaf was sold to Aurora for about $3 billion.  While a bit expensive, we like both FLWR and San Rafael ’71 products.

On an investment note, Stonefruit Sunset is a product from Aurora’s genetic bank.  Aurora expects to get 3% to 5% royalty fee on each retail purchase and going as high as 10% for unique strains.  While this is a step in the right direction, we wonder about Aurora’s multi-million sq. facilities ….
