Strain Integrity

According to Leafly, ” Blue Cheese is an indica cross created by crossing a Blueberry male with an original U.K. Cheese (a Skunk #1 phenotype) female. The sweet and savory smells of berry and blue cheese combine to create a creamy, unique flavor reminiscent of the original Cheese. The heavy effects will help you feel relaxed at the end of the day and can provide relief for muscle spasms, pain, and stress.

From the OCS, ” Attention cheesy comrades, Blue Cheese has landed. Loved by some, loathed by others this mix of sweet berry aroma and funky cheese has pungent aromas that will make your nostrils stand at attention. But be warned, this strain is not for the faint of heart and its uh…rather tangy smell may knock your socks off. It’s the dank that dreams are made of!

a “Name Bait”

Blue Cheese by Palmetto (Aurora Cannabis) packaged on August 31, 2023, cost $24.83 for 3.5 grams with 29.8% THC 3.6% Total Terpenes and a sweet floral lime scent with Zero cheese scent of any type.  Our test amount was 0.26 gram.

With Zero expectations from what we have on hand, this Blue Cheese starts with a Euphoric acceleration, which is something very Un-Blue Cheese from the Queen of Bliss.  This Blue Cheese’s “high” is more like a Cuban Linx, a Sativa “high” that is Buzzing with euphoric energy.  Extreme disappointment ….  We want Blue Cheese!  We want Blue Cheese! We want Blue Cheese!

In the great outdoors, this Blue Cheese delivered primarily Sativa effects like hyper energy buzzing euphoric ‘high” with no Bliss in sight.  Everything feels bigger than life.  While this is no Blue Cheese, it is a really nice cheap Sativa “high.”

Activity pairing is best as an energy boost during the day to get things done.  This Blue Cheese delivers an energizing caffeinated “high.”  This is a “Name Bait.”

Strain Integrity

Blue Cheese by Palmetto (Aurora Cannabis)

This review was motivated by the Pursuit for the Blue Cheese, a rare strain in the Canadian Cannabis landscape.  This Blue Cheese by Palmetto is not a Blue Cheese.  If you are looking for a Sativa “high,” however, this may fit that requirement.

THC: 27.46%

Total Terpenes :  3.6%

Quality:  5.0  (Totally missed the mark on the profile of the “high”)

Intensity:  8.6

Duration: 8.6

Total: 7.4

Cost: $24.83 for 3.5 grams

Would we buy this again?  No.  For a REAL Blue Cheese in the Canadian cannabis marketplace, get the WMMC Blue Cheese.   It is da BEST.  In 2nd place is Cali’s Big Budda Cheese.  But, these two strains are hard to find.  As a place holder, Citroli?

On an investment note, SNDL latest quarterly earnings report have revenues of $151.8 million from liquor retail, $75.5 million from cannabis retail and $21.0 million from cannabis operations.  Is SNDL really a cannabis company now?
