Strain Integrity

From the OCS, “ Port North’s Full Spectrum Cold Cured Live Rosin Batter is made with fresh press live rosin that sits in cool temperatures so the raw THCa can crystallize while the terpenes cure. Our Cold Cured Batter is a strain specific solventless hash oil made with ice water extraction methods and careful mechanical separation techniques. The cannabis is frozen directly after harvest to preserve extremely volatile terpenes found in the living plant. The trichomes are harvested during peak flower to capture the full range of naturally occurring cannabinoids and a high amount of cannabis derived terpenes. Our Full Spectrum Cold Cured Live Rosin offers a balanced between flavour and potency – made solventless with zero additives. ”

Note: The rotating strain for this batch is Pink Goo.

Would we buy this again?  Maybe?  This specific batch did not deliver the expected batter quality and the  runny consistency made it difficult to work with.  Alternative options include Zoap Live Rosin by 1Above, Mochazilla Live Rosin by The Goo!, or Black Mountain Side Live Hash Rosin by Polar. The consistency of these Live Rosins are easy to work with and they deliver an enjoyable “high.”

On an investment note, Port North founded by Cody Coulson has found shelter at Lune Rise Farms.  On January 30, 2025, Coulson failed to secure investments and is Bankrupt.  The change in consistency maybe a reflection of the turmoil at Port North.  We decided to publish this review as a Public Service to Port North fans.  Sadness ….
